I love games, it's my passion and hobby, but there is something I'm just wondering about. The old fps games like duke nukem, shadow warrior and many more from the era. What I was wondering about and amazed at the same time how fast technology goes. I just played shadow warrior (just for fun and boy is that game hard, I suck at it XD). I'm just, I don't know amazed about how fast time and technology goes. For today standards those games are ugly as hell. But fun to play I guess.
And then I just watched a trailer for killzone 2, for no apparent reason what so ever, and I was just blown away by it hahaha. I guess if you stare at old graphics for a while you appreciate the modern graphics a bit more. I mean, it's what only one generation ago from the xbox and those are now fugly. Well, maybe not, but they look outdated. Yeah, my point is and a few things that bother me. Is this progression going to fast or am I just an old fart. And is it me that in the old days developers had more guts with games dispite it was sometimes copy paste. Example the games I mentioned shadow warrior, duke nukem and blood and of course many more. I mean, wouldn't it be crazy if they put the same gore in now a days games?
I would explode of joy to see so much gore. Sigh, I lost total track of what I wanted to post. I guess I'll just stop now before my rampage is uber long :P. And is it me or are older shooters more fun, as in silly humor and todays shooters to serious. Come one where are the cheesy onliners. I guess I'm an old fart. And I'm only 22 years old XD. Oh well, it will fade the nostalgic feeling. Actually, I can't wait to get my hands on killzone 2 and kill some hellghast. Hail to the king baby *cocks shotgun*. I hope this post was somehow to follow, because I have a very chaotic writing style. Excuses for this :P.
