It isn't just DLC because Harmonix are actually putting real effort into the game, unlike band-centric Guitar Hero games. Not to mention the fact The Beatles are one of the most influential bands in music history, so its only fitting they'd get their own game.

Depends entirely on your network and Internet configuration. If you have somewhat slower Internet, you probably won't notice a difference. If you have super fast Internet, you'll notice its considerably faster and more responsive on a wired connection than on a wireless connection.

This whole generation is junk if you ask me. Yes the Wii is the worst console of this gen if you are an enthusiast gamer, but the other two consoles aren't doing a whole lot either. All I see on 360/PS3 are mostly shooters and action games otherwise better suited on a PC platform. And because of this we are getting simplified games so that all the console users can play it on their slow, clunky control schemes. And I won't even get started on how the PC platform is getting constant kicks to the ground because of this.

DLC is another problem. Yes, getting more content after the game is released is nice. But why are you paying for it? Its been given out free to PC gamers for nearly 20 years. And all of a sudden because the same thing is on a console it must be paid for? Paying $10 for a couple of new multiplayer maps, paying $10 for a couple of new outfits in a fighting game? And the worst offenders of all are the times when you must pay to unlock content already on a disc. You may not realise it, but all this console gen is doing is ruining the fun of gaming. Being turned from a hobby into another money milking industry.

And ask yourself, of all the games you've played this gen, how many are you honestly going to remember or want to play again in another 5-10 years? Because you get flooded with nearly yearly sequels anyway I guess such thing hardly matters. Why make a single good game when you can flood sequels.

The reason why is its because people like him are the reason PC gaming is nowhere near as popular as it should be. Because they don't understand how it works, or what you can do. Its understandable to some extent as PC terminology such as CPU brands and GPU brands are very confusing to people who know little about computers. But instead of just always dismissing these people as trolls, just explain to them about the advantages of PC gaming, and how you can do everything you can do on a console and more. You can plug it up to a TV, plug in practically any controller you want (even Wii remotes can work if you have a Bluetooth adapter), as well as the nearly limitless freedom with mods.

With builing a PC though, its not as hard as you think. Come onto a board like this and check/ask for suggestions on what PC parts you should get that best suit your budget, or tips on upgrading your current PC, and there are so many computer shops out there with people that will build a new PC or upgrade your current one for you with the parts you ask them to build with. You should get into PC gaming, it can be very confusing at first, but once you experiment a bit and find out new things you eventually learn just how much more fleshed out it is than your average console gaming experience.

Sorry mate, but your old PC was a more powerful gaming machine. A 9300GS is absolutely horrible in terms of gaming power. Everything else is better, but the card you have is more better suited to watching movies. You have a multimedia laptop, not a gaming laptop. You should have stuck to desktop PC's if you wanted a cheap and effective gaming machine.

I suppose you could ask your laptop manufacturer if its possible to put a more powerful card into it, but such an outcome is unlikely, and even if they do it it'll likely be expensive.

Why dumb down RTS? The same reason they are dumbing down a lot of games lately. More people are playing games nowadays, they need to make it more accessible for them. This same tactic also caters to making it easier to produce games on a console, or for console gamers recently changing to PC gaming. Sometimes they overdo it, but complex RTS games will become rarer to find over the next few years.

Best graphics, even on a midrange PC. Best sound, even without an external high end sound card. Mods, mostly superior ports of games with a few exceptions, unrestricted control methods as you can control your game with just about anything. Plus many other reasons which have already been mentioned. But the biggest selling point for me with PC gaming is the better performance. I just don't understand how console gamers can put up with 30fps or less in most of their games, especially in shooters. I just find when everything is fluid and smooth, it sucks you into the game better.

And I hate when people come along saying PC gaming is expensive. Lets face it, pretty much everybody needs/has a computer nowadays. So whats an extra $100-$200 on top of that to put a better video card in it? PC gaming does not mean a $3000 Alienware computer. And the games are almost always a superior version of their console counterpart, and are always cheaper.

You can, but I find if you watch longer video's you often get an error message saying the Wii is out of memory. Completely worthless feature if you can't even watch anything longer than about 5 minutes. Just use your computer.

You won't find all those features in one game. But remember that PC is capable of playing ALL games ever released for it. Some games may need tweaking to work, but they will work. Don't forget that the PC crowd is also very loyal to their big hit games, unlike your console players who will forget about the old games once a sequel comes out. Mods, mods and more mods. There is a large number of both MP and SP mods for HL2, Crysis also has a fair few you can play around with also. But even games as old as Doom get new mods/maps on a pretty much weekly basis. Imagine all the people who bought Doom on release 15 years ago, and still play the mods now. They must feel they are getting their money's worth by now.

You don't focus on one game, finish it, then forget about it. Thats a console gamers attitude. I suggest going out and doing a bit of research and digging for the best mods out for your preferred game you may want to buy, and see if there is anything that really strikes your interest. Some mods are just as good, and in some cases better, than actual full release retail games. You get a lot more bang for your buck long after you purchase your games on a PC.

When will you people get it, just because something is free does not mean we should sit back and put up with it whenever it doesn't work. Its the fact Nintendo promise a working service, and when it doesn't work we'd like to know why. Free or not, we are still their consumers. Get it through your heads.

By your logic, we could buy a console that says on the box "GRAPHICS CARD INCLUDED IN CONSOLE IS FREE!", and if it didn't work we should just put up with it because it said it was free. Things don't work that way. As I said, if you are promised a service, free or not, it should work. Period.
