I have a solution! this actually works 75% of the time if the disc says not working or malfunctioning in most cases. i think it also works for dvd's, cd's and other types of discs as well.
first, bend the disc over and over again so that the entire disc is a bit more flexible (dont ask me why it just works.). dont break it though. try it.
then if it doesnt take a pen or something of that shape and stick it through the center hole of the cd. then rotate and spin the pen inside so that it scratches the insides of the hole.
if it doesnt work then ask somebody else cuse it works for me!
