...I want to strangle each and every hobo that currently runs one of Sega's international branches from the local sewage treatment center's storage closet. That doesn't make me a bad person, does it?
...This is really, really sad. Everything about it.
1: This is extremely petty of all parties involved, any outrage exceeding "meh" is uncalled for on either side. This is the most important thing, definitely.
2:: Activision broke their contract or No Doubt decided they felt like reneging on it. Tasteless no matter which is true.
3: Activision is evil and they have a ton of employees, No Doubt is well-past their prime and desperate; both suck. There's no debate to be had, rehumanizing either is entirely optional.
"Reorganizing" in the case of Sega lately? An accurate BS-to-English translation would be "finding new and creative ways to piss off as many people as humanly possible." Not that they haven't had a history of that or anything :awesome:
@ Olgark: Some of the biggest and most powerful companies that have anything to do with the internet are based in America. Unless you've found some sort of limited access version of the internet a la China, there's a 99.999999% chance this would affect you as well. @ SnuffDaddyNZ: Amen brother. Most pirates weren't going to spend money on a product anyways, so yes, most anti-piracy measures only serve as inconcveniences for those of us that actually pay for what we own. *glares menacingly at Steam and its requirement of being logged in to play offline-only games purchased from it*
