@StonerDemon: Exactly! See, when the Fallout 4 collectors edition came out, sure I was hyped, but not hyped enough to pay $120 for a plastic toy watch that I would never ACTUALLY carry on my arm out in public.
@StonerDemon: Pre-ordered and went back and canceled. I just can't buy into the hype anymore. I mean, what if the game is complete crap, at least you have a cool statue you can't do anything with, right?
@Techtroll: I think he's trying to enforce the fact that the games he mentioned make more sense to have a better appeal to people rather than COD, but here is the thing, COD is such an easy game to pick up and play that mostly anyone can jump on board and get to playing. It takes nothing but small skill to play COD. Kids and parents of today know nothing more than the Call of Duty series because Activision likes to regurgitate the same crap every year and the know for a fact people will buy their product. Just like with Apple. People actually went out of their way to upgrade from a an iPhone 6 to a 6s just so that they could have it. IF there was a game to be made where the point of the game was to shovel shit the whole time, you can bet your ass people would be buying it like hot cakes. The sad reality of it all is this, the industry has gotten lazy with putting out new IP's so they just stick to the mainstream CRAP. We can change this somehow, but someone has to have the effort to change it. If it isn't you, then why not me or average Joe?
@adam4897332: Yes, I can say that without a doubt having a GTX 980 and a 2600k with 8GB of RAM that this game looks amazing on PC and runs really well too. First time in a long time I'm actually enjoying an Assassins Creed game on PC. And it doesn't feel ported either.
