@Utnayan: when games play with sensitive subject matter it shouldn’t be too much to ask that they actually have something to say about that subject. Call it political or whatever, I don’t care. I would just like to see these games have an opinion or a message. Im getting tired of them approaching these topics in such a shallow, dull, and vapid way.
@dctcool: it’s sad that a 3 point range on a 10 point scale is considered “all over the place.” That’s what happens when no triple A game can possibly score lower than a 6. Gamespot is a little better than most places at using the full range of the scale but it’s still terrible. Scores 1-5 need to be redefined or something, because it’s just about impossible to get those.
“this is an extreme satire of modern America that says pretty much nothing about it.”
This pretty well describes every triple A game that comes anywhere close to sensitive subject matter. Studios making big budget games want to draw people in with interesting and serious subjects, but are always too afraid to actually say anything of substance on those subjects. Gotta make sure not to offend any side so as to maximize profit!
I love this game, but unlike the rest of the people commenting hear, watching the stream was a hair-pulling, teeth grinding annoyance. You guys had no idea what you were doing or how the controls worked, and had the nerve to blame it on the game being janky. Making a bridge has nothing to do with altering the terrain. And if you guys bothered clicking the pin icon on the paths menu, it would have given you the extended options you were looking for. But oh well, who cares because you guys just get distracted and put out animals instead. The controls are actually very deep and can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. Watching you guys rush from one thing to the next like you were 7 year olds high on sugar wasn't entertaining for me. I like Danny streaming because even if he's bad at a game, at least he has interesting things to say. He actually studies up and talks about the game's franchise, the developers, what the game did new for it's time and for it's series. That's journalism. You guys should try it.
"The Internet—or at least a certain part of the Internet—reacted with outrage, despite the fact that most of the complaints were likely made over high-speed cable connections."
"The biggest issue here, frankly, was the cyberbullying that occurred in the wake of Orth’s comments. Those sensitive people aren’t so sensitive when it comes to other people, that’s for sure. In fact, that’s my exact definition of a bully."
