@ theflashxwmc It depends on what kind of monitor you have. If you have an LCD monitor that has a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 then 8800 gts 320 would be enough. If you higher then the 640 would be the better choice.

@ adolahy I don't think you would want to touch the 8600 gts, because there are cards that are as expensive or cheaper that have higher performance than that card. (1950 xt - $150, 7950 series, etc.)

Yes, you can get the 320 mb version for only $260, including MIR.

@Mondars37 You should just wait until the 2nd generation dx10 cards. Your card isn't so bad.

I'm always happy when new, competing cards come out. It lowers the price of the other cards and helps consumers like me. :-)

lol, I always turn off shadows because... to me they are not worth the performance lost.
