I'm still playing through the demo now, and really, I don't like it. The dinosaur models looked the same but the characters looked pretty good. I just think the fact of going level to level shoot/knifing dinosaurs is going to get repetitive but we'll see how the whole game goes. And I do agree on gusto's comment. Turok 64 seems way better then this.

Loved your comment haha :) The first Turok was great!

I agree with you... I guess I will never be as impressed as I was when I first played Turok 64: Dinosaur Hunter.... "I AM TUROK" (I actually got kind of annoyed with that because in the later levels I used to die a lot and hear that everytime I respawned)

Poorly done demo, hated the cave. It was not a good launch at all...gamfaqs2gamfaqs

I agree with you too. I can't stress enough that the cave was just a awful idea. By the time you get out your like, "Okay, the dmeo begins!"

It was terrible. Admittedly, I didn't give it a chance outside, because I quit in the caves. I couldn't tell how many dinosaurs were after me or where they were. It just wasn't fun at all. In my opinion, it belongs in an arcade.rptransam09

For some reason, I agree with what you said. It just was not a good idea at all to start in such a dark cave.

I enjoyed it quite a bit and also found the difficulty to be pretty tough at times. The guns are fun and being able to wield two, although nothing new; still was just as fun, mashing L2 and R2 like a mad man.

Starting off in the Cave may not have been the best idea though. Even though the demo was pretty lengthy, the first part kinda' annoyed me. It was just to hard to see at times and really not a clever way to start a demo. Also, once you get outside, it becomes very open and vast, this is great but often leads to confusion of where bullets are coming from. Not only must you worry of bullets but sometimes taking cover can lead to your death too, since Dinos would jump out and scare the hell out of you and knocking you back into open fire. It was a great twist but sometimes very annoying. I like the challenge though!

Voice acting from everyone but Turok was good. I thought Turoks voice was pretty lame and he just had no energy. The other characters sounded and look amazing.

I enjoyed picking up little dinos and cutting there throats and laughing. One thing I noticed in this game that a lot of others shooters don't have is that, when getting shot you sort of can't move very well, almost as if it stuns you a bit. When trying to go up and grapple them with my knife attack, they would pound me with bullets and I would be completely stunned. Which led to my death quite a few times, but nevertheless; it was still fun.

The graphics were pretty nice once you reached the outside. In the cave you can see hardly anything, so I couldn't judge. I was glad to see the Demo didn't end once reaching the outside, I would have been angry beyond belief.

It's so nice to see a old franchise making possibly a strong return. I'm pretty excited about this one and I would love to see what Gamespot and many other reviews have to say about it.

Sorry if someone already posted about it, but I was curious to know if anyone would like to share there thoughts on it as well.

[QUOTE="MonacoX"]Mine is working fine so far, I was just curious because mine isnt as quiet as some people claim theirs to be.MonacoX

Yea, what are you comparing it too? When the 360 was on, I couldn't even hear myself speak. Alot of times I didn't even know the PS3 was on.

It does make an audible noise during quiet parts of games/movies, I dont notice it much when playing though.

Who cares...games gotta load man. It's like putting a pc game in your computer, it loads at certain times. You want it to be extra quite or something? Discs are round because they must spin, lol.

I normally can not stand fan made trash, but this...was awesome. A lot of the games shown I had no idea what they were. This is a great example of why people should consider a Playstation 3. Thank you, I loved every minute and the song was awesome. Thanks!

What is the difference between FFXIII and FFVersus XIII. I keep searching the web and cant get any info.vespuche

Final Fantasy XIII will consist of a few games. The Story will branch out on to different consoles and handhelds. It's going to be a vast story with a lot of different parts. They have anounced a Cell Phone, DS and a Ps3 installation. This is what I remember them saying a while ago. Please, someone correct me if I did not have that all right.

I dont know about anyone else, but I like to have the case in my possesion aswell. I dont download Xbox Live Arcade games, and I dont download games off of PSN either, but the only game Ive ever downloaded was Halo: Combat Evolved on Xbox Originals on Live, but that was because I didnt have money at the time, just points.sarmini

I like having the whole thing too. Also, these games are jus to big, even if you compress them. Big companies would not want to do this, since they make so much money in selling them. Next IDEA!

Good day to you all,

I just purchased a 40GB PlayStation 3 along with Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Resistance: The Fall of Man and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I don't have a complaint with the console, more just a concern. I noticed with Uncharted the disk will speed up to read data I presume, then in less than a second drop back down to almost being silent, then it will become louder, again like it's reading more data, then go quiet again. It's like it's reading the disk for about a second or so, then just cutting off, then resuming. The game itself plays fine, as do all my other games. I am just wondering if this is normal and should it be a thing of concern. The other 3 games I have it doesn't SEEM to do it on which strengthens my theory on it being just Uncharted, but the game itself brand new. I have already returned one Playstation 3 on the same basis (I work in GAME - retail shop in the UK) and apparently it's not really common. I am wondering if it is just the game or should I just ignore it. The loading times seem 'normal' I guess but it's just worrying to hear it speed up, then down, then up again. I had a similar issue on my PC and it was just the DVD drive was too slow to read data quick enough. Now obviously all the PlayStation 3's are fitted with Blu Ray drives but it is just as I say, worrying. Hopefully somone on here can put my mind at rest. I am hoping it is just the game (which by the way is phenominal). I do notice that Uncharted does use Streaming Technology - loading in textures on the fly so it is always accessing the disk but I would just assume the disk would be the same noise throughout.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your time,

Jack.

Mine does it too, no big deal man.
