Insomniac is extremely good at making games in a year; so if you don't think it could make a 2008 release (even though it hasn't been announced officially yet) you're in for a surprise.  I agree that that was a rumour because a dev at IG said that it was just a rumour in an interview.

I played Metal Gear Solid 1-2-3 and i still cant wait anymore for the 4th comming it have sooo amasing Grafics but Metal Gear solid 3 is the best i cryied at the ending when you have to kill the boss ....Damm it took me like 10-15 minutes to decide if i should shoot or close the game but i did it....And to get to the point in all metal gear its Bigg Boss Solid Snake that i like the most And this will be for my whole life That game really touch my heart ....You can all laf if ya want but Im respecting yalls opignions But Im too much in the game Im always feeling A strange feeling its like if i feel the character emotions ...XD (Really Weird)

I actually know exactly what you're talking about.

I'd have to say Big Boss, because MGS3's story is less confusing than MGS2's story and I liked it more.
Snake is second, Otacon third, Ocelot and Boss tie for fourth, Otacon fifth, Vamp sixth, Eva seventh, Mei Ling eighth, etc...

Good new though; I finally understood MGS2's storyline on my 50th play-through...
