@zinten: All my TVs are Samsung and I've never had any issues. I also didn't buy a nice TV and HD game systems only to use the crappy TV speakers either. Everything is run through my AV receiver and only one input is used on my TV or projector.

You can always buy a powered HDMI switch.

Note: My TV doesn't suffer from this problem even with the receiver bypassed.
