I agree with Leejjohno with regards to Saren and TIM killing themselves, they did it not becaues they thought the were wrong but becaues Shepard showed them that they had fallen to the Reapers and given up everything they ever fought for in the process.  As for the endings I prefered Control and Syntesis. Its merely a matter of your own personal experiences throughout the entire Trilogy, if you were friendly with the synthetics you are more likely to steer away from destroy, while if you were a bit more distrusting of the synthetics destroy would look pretty good.  It's ultimately a decision of the player, do you consider the Geth and EDI alive? and if you do is killing them worth the galaxy's safetly? The whole game boils down to each individual player's experiences, a thousand people could play the Trilogy and get a thousand different opinions on the game.  The control option also had some people worried, if Shepard is now an AI god essentially what is to keep him in check.  Theoretically, Shepard would have become the AI with all of his memories and experiences that led him to this point meaning he is still alive but his body no longer remains.  People tend to look at AI as purely synthetic creations, made by programmers, when in reality a human is already and AI just instead of circuit boards and programming we have neurons, memories, and instincts to guide us.

When Cerberus rebuilt Shepard they had to do alot to get him working again.  They used complex cybernetics and even some reaper tech to bring him back making it possible for him survive intense punishment.  Also assuming that the breath scene is on Earth, it is possible to survive reentry if Shepard was trapped in a large enough chunk of the Citadel.  Surviving a crash from geosynchronous orbit is possible, unlikely but possible.  Add the explosion on top of that its even more unlikely but anything is possible, I put Shepard's odds of survival at one in a trillion (at best).

Multiplayer is completely unneccessary, you can get all the endings if you just work through the series.

SPOILER!

Yeah to me the best endings were always Control, or Synthesis even before the extended cut.  It's also possible to get the Synthesis ending without multiplayer if you have a complete Paragon playthrough, even without playing online (I think i had %52 percent and my bar was still maxed) so don't worry about the multiplayer too much.  You can also cheat if you really want to see the best endings (just google it) but that's just lazy.

(SPOILERS)

For me the extended cut just confirmed what I already got from the original ending.  That Shepard died (mostly) and he did it to not only save the whole goddamn galaxy but to make it better with the synthesis.  They could have put a bit more time into the new ending but it was still good in my opinion.  It also completely debunked that stupid Indoctrination Theory that I thought was complete lunacy.

They do show what Tali looks like but just in a picture. It would have been loads cooler to have a conversation on Rannoch without Tali's mask.

The multiplayer doesn't suck, nor is it brilliant. Its just okay and unfortunately with so many other shooters out there (COD, Battlefield, etc.) it just doesn't stack up against them. I still play it normally by myself or a friend but for the most, unfortunately most people played the series was for the campaign, the multiplayer seems to just be a bit of an after thought and isn't neccessary to get the best ending. They could have made it a ton better by allowing you to buy guns instead of packs.

In order to get the best ending you only have to max the EMS gauge, which can be found in the war room abored the Normand SR2.  Its incredibally easy if you have played through ME1 and ME2 but if your struggling to get the last bit of the gauge filled the play some multiplayer.  Playing a multiplayer game will increase you EMS gauge by approximately 3%-7% depending upon difficulty and setup options.  It is possible to get the best ending without playing through the first two games but alot harder to do.

Shepard Commander. Good Luck.

Anyone else wish there was a few more missions on Earth?  I loved the game except for the ending I just wished we had more missions on earth.  Fighting the Reapers in different cities around Earth maybe or possibly multiplayer maps for different cities around earth.
