None of those screenshots above for minecraft are actual minecraft screenshots. You should really post accurate pictures of the game without mod's if you are going to praise it.

Looks like a little better lighting on the 360 and a little better anti-aliasing on the PS3.

Volgin definitely is a great villain. I'd say that The End was fun (although frustrating) along with Vulcan Raven and The Boss are my top favorites.

I'll just go ahead and say it, because I'm sure I speak for a large portion of the gaming crowd, I don't care how E3 works as long as I get numerous quality game previews and developement news.

Crysis seems to be a lot of "Ooo look at Direct X10" kind of moments, though nothing has been released about the gameplay yet. JeTGoDLiKe, the main problem with the X-Box 360 online capabilities is that they aren't free. The PS3 will offere a service similar to the X-Box 360 without the charge. By the time the PS3 is out Xbox Live users will be paying for their second year of service, which will more than negate the price difference, not to mention the hardware capability advantages.

Blu-Ray and HD DVD are two competing disk formats for the next generation of what we call the DVD. Microsoft is a bit farther along with their marketing of HD DVD, while Sony is hoping that the PS3 will promote the Blu-ray format. Essentially, these two formats are the same, although they do differ slightly. First, you may ask what makes them different from a standard DVD, considering they both look the same. The difference lies in the way in which information is encoded onto the device. The reader (HD DVD player/Blu-ray player) use a blue laser, rather than a red laser. If you are familiar with the color spectrum a blue laser carries a higher frequency than a red laser. (Just as a blue flame is hotter than a red one) This allows more information to be compacted on a smaller physical space, thus increasing the storage of the disk. The differences aren't too stagering for the time being, although Sony and Microsoft may end up heading seperate directions with their hardware devices and the ways the new formats are used. A 12 Cm Blu Ray disk with dual layer can hold up to 50 GB of information, where a standard DVD holds around 7 GB. The HD DVD holds around 30 GB dual layer. The difference may not seem too staggering when you compare a single sided dual layer disk, but the HD DVD's maximum capacity (At triple layers double sided) is only 90 GB, whereas Sony's Blu-ray format can have 6 layers, on each side of the disk that allows it to hold over 200 GB of infomation. Although movies now make use of the storage space, the extra elbow room will reduce the amount of extra disks used, as well as leave room for more interactive content allowing future Blu-ray/HD DVD players to act less static, and appear more visually clean. For the time being, both formats are available and can be played on their seperate drives, although recently an electronics company managed to manufacter a device that can play both HD DVD and Blu-ray formats, which may end, or fuel the format war. The device would cost more than either HD DVD player or Blu-ray player, but be considerably less than purchasing both. Currently HD-DVD drives are cheaper, due to Sony's difficulty in producing the diode used to create the blue laser. Although it is speculated in the future they will overcome the problem catching up to Microsofts lead. From there it is anyones guess.

There were concerns about the PS3 overheating in a contained space, but developers have remarked on how little heat is produced and how quitely the dev kits operate.

You know, I don't completely dissagree with you Philonic. I've been looking at this Blu-ray as a great thing without really considering it's possible downfall. I hope it doesn't fail like all their past formats.

I agree, free online is one of the best features. Also, free operating system and internet browser. Nintendo's version of Opera is going to cost more. I am a bit dissapointed to see that the remote is seperate.

The timing for a lot of these things isn't what I was hoping... although at least I will have time to hear others reactions.
