I didn't know there were this many differences. Smaller maps, number of players, etc, was expcted, but taking away cover and vehicles? That is a bit much.

Plus, pc version costs half what the console version costs in Brazil, capitalism FTW!

I just had to come back here because Sony announced the official price for the Ps4 in Brazil. It's US$ 2,000.00 (twice the price for the Xbox One).

No, I am not going to buy a next-gen console this year. Might end up doing a 180 myself and getting the brazillian Xbox One just to be very clear about how pissed I am.

I'm not going to lie, the possibility of holding off has been on my head for a while. Mostly because I'm buying a car next January so the games were not much of a factor to begin with.

I agree that the launch line-up of either console isn't the best in history, simply because the vast majority of these titles will be available to Xbox360/PS3/PC owners too.

What I can tell for sure is that I'm getting a PS4 next June at the latest (my birthday). Getting it this year depends on what Sony announces to the brazillian market on the next Brasil Game Show.

To the point, I think we could add another element in there. You see, I happened to play Kingdom Hearts on a very interesting time in my life (namely, we were moving so I lost contact with most of my friends at school, etc.) so, when I played the first game and Sora's friends disappear, his quest to find his friends again had me enthralled for longer and deeper than I'd like to admit.

Another case I could name here, is Demon's and Dark Souls. Now, the characters on these games aren't the best looking ever, and they don't even talk. But I still got attached to them, and I think the reason is simple. Death in these games can be extremely punishing, and they only happen when I screw up. The flawed human in this case was me. I guess there is no better character to care about.

I think we need games that break the rules and definitions of what a game is from time to time so I'm getting this game.

it seems to be an improvement over heavy Rain in several ways (although I loved having several characters and trying to figure out who was the killer, having a single character makes it easier to get invested into every action).

I'll buy it later this month, I'll see for myself weather or not this deserves an Oscar. :P

Although the idea of crowd-funded games liberating devs from publishers sounds great I'm not against SE doing something similar. If we can get a great indie game based on one of those IPs (Soul Reaver, I'm looking at you) it's a win-win for everybody.

Russians are problably fed up of being the bad guys in every shooter since the dawn of mankind so this was going to happen eventually.
