I honestly don't even see the point in commenting on this, since GameSpot has a track record of not giving a shit about what it's users think and mostly ridicule them for it, but i'm doing it anyway:

STOP THIS. You killed the unions, you killed the functionality, you killed everything that was actually good with this site. And for what?? The old site worked fine ( And I mean that relatively).

Also, don't think that forcing me to remove Adblock's functionality is gonna help you make money. I'm not removing Adblock for anything.

@HWGuy14 Actually you can go online with both console hacks. Sorry to dissapoint you, but console piracy is rampant.

The difference is, consoles being a walled garden, it's easier to track down pirates using the system. You can't do that on PC.

Because you see, on a PC, only you decide what to do. But You don't seem like the kind of person capable to handle the responsibility of managing his own machine, soo...

I think they are trying to pull an Android on us. Make hardware companies take up the custom console mantle away from just SONY and Microsoft and allow people who don't know how to build PCs to have brand PCs that are somewhat of a cross between a PC's hardware and a console's simplicity.

@MAGIC-KINECT You know, that's funny. I invested in my old PC, which I bought in 2006, how interesting, about... 700$.

it played every game on the market. Two years ago was the first time I upgraded it. The GPU, actually. Previous one burnt out (BTW, consoles do that too, because they are made of the same parts).

Now it plays all new games on HIGH, sometimes ULTRA.

And that's a 2006 PC, who's only upgrades ever were a 2GB RAM extension, and a new GPU. NOTHING else.

This is a computer I use on a daily basis.

You know what happens to a console used on a daily basis? Within a year or two, it dies out. HDD failure, laser dies, overheating.

@plm3d_basic Uhmm, no. Why would they be butthurt? They far exceed AMD in compability, quality products and successful branding.

Besides, both Microsoft and SONY appraoched Nvidia first. Nvidia refused because they wanted a higher pay than what both console manufacturers offered them.

In other words, they gave them the finger so they went for the cheaper alternative that is AMD.

In that regard, it is no different than the Ubuntu distro for phones
