@quiksilvers123 @Timmy_Gwar It could be comparatively. Or I could be talking generally, which I was.

How's that pre-order ratio and who had the most backlash over their policies? Despite this MS continues to make statements instead of asking questions.

The comments out of Microsoft lead me to believe that they are heavily afflicted with PMS.

Positive Mental State, or PMS, mostly affects corporate level executives and people who generally just don't give a sh*t, like one or more species of badger. Sufferers of PMS may say things like "we only win, only always" when in fact they are doing quite poorly (aka not winning). PMS may also cause the afflicted party to lose all sense of bad smells or hateful comments directed toward them. PMS may cause acute rich a**holism, money and unrealised loneliness.

Microsoft, stop PMSing and start paying attention to the world outside of yourselves. You have a few things to answer for, and hopefully soon, a new OS to compete with. Shiz is going to get fluffed.

I was excited for this game. Now I feel like the passenger in an out of control car, hurtling toward a cliff. Frantically pumping the invisible breaks screaming "Ok, we could have stopped a little ways back!"

Looks good, hopefully won't turn into a PS exclusive CoD.

@barrybarryk @Jinzo_111887 Precisely, because the Devs were either sick of being over charged for distribution or because any other way but steam would have resulted in us getting nickel-and-dimed into buying useless DLC and season passes.

Having your eggs in one basket is risky, I get it. But we don't even legally own the eggs we have in this large poorly serviced basket that we already have. We are effectively renting eggs, a service that I would trust to Valve more than Microsoft or Apple.

@highlanderjimd Your missing the point. A handful of people know what your talking about, which means a handful are aware of what open source is or why it isn't so popular yet. Raspberry is great, I'm sure. The issue is that you can't just boot it onto whatever device you want, install updates and instantly start streaming your games and services to whatever other device. Lets not forget game and driver compatibility.

TL;DR Think of this not as a different version of Linux. Think of it as a way better version of what Microsoft is trying to put on its console or what Sony or LG or Toshiba are slapping into their devices. It's an initial update of an open source early release and it's already made non-linux users aware of itself. Pretty good feat if you ask me.

@Blank2k2 Not to mention the PC market. If other software like Adobe and editing suites can be compatible with SteamOS, we might see Valve eventually buying Microsoft to get rid of the mutual annoyance.

This is actually what I wanted next from Steam. Think about it, an OS that runs all of yours games, movies and other media on whatever device you want. DRM would be at our mercy for once. We would be able to simply open a browser using whatever wireless controller we like and simply watch a youtube video without having to sign into an account and use a terrible app. Complete freedom of choice, less of this PC master race stuff. Organizing a desktop as if it was a console or vice versa!

Oh yeah, and its is open source and moddable! Also free! I do not understand the type of person that says "no" to this

If not for the love of Steam, games or great service; support a version of SteamOS that will be able to give us a choice other than Microsoft Windows.

@Hastur I don't think it's as easy as "might as well".
