@SurfaceNerd All I see are people seeing other people writing it, and then copying them in the ever present quest for the bro thumbs and peer approval. I think about 10% of the people who've written about it understand what those terms mean. The other 90% flew in to a rage as soon as they saw 9/10 and have been piling on non stop since. This is the same mentality that causes people to review games on metacritic they've never played and give them a 10 or a zero.
@No_SuRReNDeR @manutdarsenal If he gave it a nine, we'd be seeing personal insults from the same group of winners. They just wouldn't be of the "sammich" variety but they'd be a little less vitriolic because this is the interwebz and the reviewer isn't a "bro,"
@D1N02982 Good. I've seen more sickening, ignorant comments here since the review was posted than I've seen in a month of youtube vids. Sorry, but a whole mess of people just plain deserve it.
@Ringal Nope. They want her fired. I'd like to see some of these same people pulling this on Jim Sterling's article, without resorting to calling him fat.
@chrisx28 Sexism and misogyny are not the same thing. She's explained, but the fact is you guys have made up your mind and are too busy being outraged to listen. (I see a ton of people LOOKING for ways to disagree and insult, very few attempting in any genuine way to see her view). Instead it's "Fire her" and "sammich" level jokes all day. It'll get boring in a few days, you'll get over being livid over a single point on a gaming review and she'll still be here. If some of the people who've laid the hate on thick don't stick around, they'll be little mourning.
