You act like advances in technology and 3d gaming means 2d games are obsolete . . . thats no where close to accurate. I like the 2d Metroid games more than the 3d Metroid games or instance. There is a market for both.

It's just a genre you're not into. Do you say the same thing when it comes to turn based RPGs? Not every genre is for everyone, that doesn't make some genre obsolete cause theres more powerful consoles and engines that need more power.

You just have some irrational hatred for Nintendo. I couldn't give two shits about Labo, but its not meant for me. It'll be great for kids.

PUBG is some of the worst asset copy and paste out there. Minecraft looks like crap on purpose. etc. Not everything has to be cutting edge technology wise to be a good game or genre.

Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge, Metroid 2 remake, salt and sanctuary, etc.

I get more enjoyment out of games like that than copy and paste CoD type garbage that we've played a billion times before.

I find a lot more indies interesting when I can play them on a handheld/remotely. Side scrollers are meant for handhelds. A lot of indies I play on the Switch are stuff I'd never get around to on a console.

Sea of Zzz . . . MS really is setting Rare up to fail. This game obviously should have been delayed again and needed more time. The first month of a new game and how its reviewed initially is important. First they had to make kinect games, now they have to release a game before its ready. Shame . . .

Hmm. PUBG and Fortnite on iOS makes me want to actually consider playing games on my phone. Anyone know a good controller to use?

I was blown away by God of War. Played first 2.5 hours last week. It's a faithful yet deeply evolved version of the classic series across every dimension: Combat, story, puzzles and graphical prowess.

While the team doesn't want us sharing much on story, there's one sequence early on that takes the scale of a God of War boss fight in a totally different and more intimate direction -- and it works, because the emotion is just as big and visceral.

From what I was told we only played about 5% of the full game. If that's the case, this is going to be an epic on the scale of Horizon -- and with tons of weapon and skill tree upgrades, I can't wait to see how the game opens up in the other 95%.

I criticized something about this game and IGN gave me a 24 hour ban from the comment section for "bad behavior". bahaha!
