I play on the Stormbluff Isle server. On the GW2 server list, all the servers have high or full population. I've been playing since a week after launch and a lot of players usually Login at LEAST 1-2 times a week.
I'm an officer in my guild and a lot of our players (250+) login in at some point & time. I would say that the only main two reasons for this is because 1)Real life(work, college, etc) gets in the way. And 2) Waiting for the new content that arrives every 2 weeks.
But I'll be honest. Me and a ton of players are burnt out of GW2. Sometimes we like to take mini-breaks and play something else for a day or more. The new content is really nice. It could use more work but Anet is doing a great job after 1 year of learning from all the feedback..
For people who are saying this game is not good, I guess I can understand their position. The game is good for its eye candy and features. But the new content every 2 weeks still needs more work to make players want to play more often. Personally, If I was not in a guild and playing by myself, I probably wouldn't be in GW2 now.
So people are definitely playing GuildWars 2. Not 24/7 but the game is 100% active. And its never too late to jump right in and give the game a try.
@darran05 @TheGuardianX @talamalopilis True. But Sadly in this day and age, more companies are gonna create products that do what the kinect does. Google Glasses, Apple's siri is probably gonna be used more in future Apple products, and the list goes on.
A few days ago I realized that eventually, sooner or later, we will all be force to choose a side and pick which company we trust the most with our personal space lol
