"IGN have extracted some more details from the latest issue of Famitsu PS3 that came out a few days ago. Some details to the storyline of Final Fantasy Agito XIII have finally been revealed and also the fact that Final Fantasy Agito XIII was always being planned for release on PSP.

Tetsuya Nomura and Hajime Tabata said in Famitsu that the title was always being planned for release on PSP but the announcement a few weeks ago was to show that the PSP development had taken priority.

In the Final Fantasy Agito XIII world, the PAX CODEX (a peace treaty) has been broken by Cid from a neighbouring country who has sent "Lucy" or "Lucies" to invade the other. We aren't sure what a Lucy is but I'm sure we'll find out eventually. Little more is new in the article but at least now we know the basis of the storyline and that Cid will be present in at least one of the Fabula Nova Crystallis titles. "

It's good that Cid is in the game, always nice to hear. A FF with no Cid would be like Soccer would no ball!

Agito suddenly got interesting for me when they decided to rather to a PSP game then a mobile game, but still not hyped about it.

I'm sad that we won't be able to use gambits in XIII, now i have no clue about how the Battle System will be.

Versus, I have been hyped from day 1 :lol:

In the latest Issue of Famitsu PS3, there is a special coverage of the DKS1373 event, and we get new information on the three highly anticipated new games from SE.

Final Fantasy XIII

• Final Fantasy XIII will return to the old Final Fantasy turn-based system. This means you will control each of every party members turns with no Gambit system like FFXII.
• The story is being written so each main character feels like a protagonist instead of a supporting character.
• The Final Fantasy XIII demo will be released on a separate disc to Advent Children: Complete, meaning that us outside Japan can import it without having to worry about region coding. It will be the entire opening of the game which should be 90 minutes of playtime.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII

• The world based in Final Fantasy Versus XIII worships a Shinigami (death god) which is designed by Yoshitaka Amano. A painting of this god can be seen in the bulding where the Prince and Skirt Girl meet.
• Like Nomura keeps saying, the clothing and cars will probably look different by the time the game is finished.
• The moral of the team making this game is very high, something that has to benefit the game!
• We should expect the characters to change outfits throughout the game.
• The Prince's eye colour has been changed from Red to Blue.
• The names of the Prince and Skirt Girl will be revealed at this years Tokyo Game Show in October.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII

• The Agito team decided to move the game to Playstation Portable because they couldn't wait for mobile phone technology to become more advanced.
• The battle system will still use turn-based combat but will be more focused on action. The game will be using a more high-speed version of Crisis Core's ATB system.
• There will be multiple party members in this game. In other words, it's multiplayer. And 3 players can play together in an Infrastructure mode. (Don't ask me what that is)
• The Summon Odin can be seen in the Agito scan and the game will focus strongly around them. The summons are part of the character growth system and can also be controlled by players.
