ITS BACK!!!!!!! Welcome to my version of the best game on Gamespot! The rules are listed below for you newcomers and returning vets, so everyone should feel most comfortable. This time I am Kuja from Final Fantasy IX. However, I am currently not that important, let's go over a few of the basics. Your job is survival. Each player may choose any 1 (one) character from a Final Fantasy game or movie. It must have Final Fantasy in the titles, and if I find out your character isn't really from and FF game you will be disqualified from the game. After selecting your character, regardless of if you decide to take an action or not, you will be in the game. So if you don't want to come back and find yourself dead, don't ask to be someone and then just leave. Of course, this only matter if you join the game after it starts, as you may join the battle at any timebefore it is declared over. The battle is declared over once everyone is dead. You always join with full hp, which is 9999hp, and full mp, which is 999mp. If you are dead you can indeed be revived. However, if you are not revived within 2 days, 48 direct hours from you death, you will be removed from the game temporarily. You can come back if someone revives you only after you say that you want back in. You do lower my timers by being around.
Of course the new posting system is in effect. This system must be followed for this revamped game to work. You must post your action, hp changed or unchanged, mp changed or unchanged, and how long it will be before you can act again. I know, I have made this more complicated for you, but now you will know what I have to deal with. So here is the list I have for you. Love or hate it, it will be your list this game. Your action times are in bold and underlined.
Status Ailments
Poison - deals 1000 hp damage for each one of your posts, cured by remedy
Silence - cannot use magical attacks, cured by remedy
Berserk - Continually attacks, cured by remedy
Petrify - turned into stone and cannot act, temporarily removed from game if attacked in this state, cured by remedy
Curse - cannot use any limit breaks! Cured by holy water only.
Haste - speeds up normal actions, everything but Lvl. 3+4 Black Magic spells and the Limit Break is reduced by half time (ex. Potion action becomes 23 min), is cancelled by slow.
Slow - slows down normal actions, every timer is doubled in length, if cast after your action, use real action time, cancelled by haste only!
Stop - Cannot act at all until cured by Green Light!
Player Actions
Attack - Slows my next action for 14 minutes minus 1 minute per player, to no less than 1 minute. You may act again in 30 minutes.
Limit Break - Slows my next action for 53 minutes minus 2 minutes per player, to no less than 15 minutes. You may act again in 6 hours. Time not affected by haste! (You may use any limit you wish, but it only does this thing, call it what you want, you may have to make it up if you aren't from FFVII forward anyway.)
Double Team Moves - The first person does a preparation move and then the second person finishes it with the very next post. Ex. 1st post: Auron throws Tidus into the air. 2nd post: Tidus and Auron use Tornado Blitz Ace. Delays me for 53 minutes minus 2 minutes per player. Players may act again in 6 hours after their respective post! (Not affected by Haste)
Summons
MP cost: 50 - Ifrit, Ramuh, Shiva, Carbuncle. Delay me for 30 min
MP cost: 100. - Leviathan, Odin, Fenrir. Delay me for 1 hr.
MP cost: 200 Atmos, Madeen, Bahamut, Phoenix. Delay me for 2 hrs.
MP Cost: 350 Ark, Alexander. Delay me for 4 ½ hours.
Rules are simple: You can only summon each one 3 times thats it. Other details are in above sentences. You may act again in 1 hr (50 MP), 2 hrs (100 MP), 4 hrs (200 MP), or 7 ½ hrs (350 mp)
Items (after 99 are used they are gone!)
Potion - Recovers 3333hp to one target. You may act again in 45 minutes.
Hi-Potion - Recovers 5000hp to one target. You may act again in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
X-Potion - Recovers 9998hp to one target. You may act again in 3 1/2 hours
Phoenix Down - Revives on target with 3334hp. You may act again in 1 hour.
Ether - Restores 150mp to one target. You may act again in 4 hours.
Holy Water - cures curse only! You may act again in 45 min.
Remedy - Cures everything but curse and slow! You may act again in 1hr 15 min
Magic
White Magic:
Cure - MP Cost: 12mp - Recovers 3333hp to one target. You may act again in 30 minutes
Cure 2 - MP Cost: 20mp - Recovers 5000hp to one target. You may act again in 45 minutes
Cure 3 - MP Cost: 35mp - Recovers 9998hp to one target. You may act again in 2 1/2 hours
Cura - MP Cost: 80mp - Recovers 3333hp to 6 people. You may act again in 2 hours
Life - MP Cost: 50mp - Revives on target with 3334hp. You may act again in 30 minutes.
Life 2 - MP Cost: 150mp - Revives on target with 9999hp. You may act again in 3 hours.
Esuna - MP Cost: 100mp - Cures all Status Ailments except for Curse, Slow and Stop. You may act again in 1 hour 30 minutes
Black Magic:
Fire/Blizzard/Thunder/Aero/Water/Dark - MP Cost: 20mp - Slows my next attack for 14 minutes minus 1 minute per player, to no less than 1 minute. You may act again in 20 minutes.
Fira/Blizzara/Thundara/Aeroa/Watera/Darkra - MP Cost: 35mp - Slows my next attack for 28 minutes minus 2 minutes per player, to no less than 2 minutes. You may act again in 45 minutes.
Firaga/Blizzaga/Thundaga/Aeroga/Waterga/Darkga/Shock - MP Cost: 60mp - Slows my next action for 53 minutes minus 2 minutes per player, to no less than 15 minutes. You may act again in 5 hours. Time not affected by haste!
Flare/Holy/Ultima/Scathe/Ardor - MP Cost: 120mp - Slows my next action by 1 hour and 23 min minus 5 minutes per player, no less than 30 minutes. You may act again in 7 hours. Time not affected by haste!
Green Magic:
Haste - MP Cost: 40mp - speeds up your action time, cuts it is half rounded up, see example in status ailments. You may act again in 30 min (this time unaffected by haste)
Hastega - MP Cost: 150 mp - speeds up 3 people's action times, same as haste. You may act again in 1 hr. (time unaffected by haste)
Green Light - MP Cost: 50 mp - Cures the Stop status. You may act again in 45 min.
Shell - MP Cost: 20mp - Cuts magic damage in half for the next 6 hours. You may act again in 30 minutes.
Protect - MP Cost: 20mp - Cuts physical damage in half for the next 6 hours. You may act again in 30 minutes.
Now, I know that is a lot to work with, more than even I have, but I am trying to offer you guys a set of choices similar to a real FF game. But enough on that, now on to my action list.
Kuja's Actions
Punch - Deals 3333 physical damage to one person, can act again in 1 hr 20 min minus 5 min per player, but no more than once every 30 min (that means 1 hr with a base of 4)
Super Kick - Deals 3333 physical damage to all, can act again in 2 hrs 20 min minus 5 min per player, but no more than once every 1 hr. 30 min (that means once every 2 hrs with a base of 4)
Demi - Deals ¼ of HP of magical damage to one person, can act again in 2 hrs 20 min minus 5 min per player, but no more than once every 1 hr. 30 min (that means once every 1 hr with a base of 4)
Force of Will - Deals random status ailments to all, can act again in 4 hrs 10 min minus 10 min per player, but no more than once every 3 hrs (that means once every 3 hrs 30 min with a base of 4)
Trance - Goes into Trance after 150 posts.
Thundaga - Deals 6666 magical damage to all and stop to one, can act again in 5 hours 40 min minus 10 min per person, but no more than once every 4 hrs 30 min (that means once every 5 hrs with a base of 4)
Trance Kuja's Actions
Holy - Deals 4000 magical damage to one person, can act again in 2 hrs 50 min minus 5 min per person but no more than once every 2 hr (that means once every 2 hrs 30 min with a base of 4)
Flare - Deals 5000 magical damage to all, can act again in 5 hrs 40 min minus 10 min per person but no more than once every 4 hrs (that means once every 4 hrs with a base of 4). Cannot follow or be followed Ultimate Thundaga.
Bad Temper - Deals random status affects to all players, can act again in 3 hr 20 min minus 5 min per person but no more that once every 2 hrs (that means once every 3 hours with a base of 4)
Ultima - Deals 3333 magic damage to all, can act again in 3 hrs 40 min minus 10 min per person but no more than once every 2 hrs (that means once every 3 hrs with a base of 4). Cannot follow or be followed by Ultimate Thundaga.
Impervious Will - Deals stop to 2 random people and slow to the rest; can act again in 3 hrs 40 min minus 10 min per person but no more than once every 2 hrs 30 min (that means once every 2 hrs with a base of 4), Must be followed by Ultimate Thundaga!
Ultimate Thundaga - Deals 8000 magical damage to all, can act again in 10 hrs minus 30 min per person but no more than once every 7 hrs (that means once every 8 hrs with a base of 4). Cannot follow or be followed by Flare or Ultima.
We will be playing to 220 post plus 20 posts per player. There is a Post Limit! The max post count that we will go to is 440. However, since players can be lost to the death timer there is a bit more to say. Even if a character goes out to the death timer, a full 20 post will not be subtracted from the win total, only 10 will, thus solving any issues with those players getting in a number of actions and then dying. Then 10 more will be added on to the total if a removed player comes back.
