it doesn't look like this thread gets much business anymore, but lately i've been dabbling in crate digging/sampling a little bit for fun, and i was wondering for any of you guys who use samples, how do you handle drums that are very prominent and loud in the sample? i've found some very interesting loops and chops but i've only been able cut around loud snare drums opposed to how i'd really like to slice. any tips/suggestions?
Dope mixtape, nothing to shout home about but with solid production and a good vibe I enjoy listening to this in small doses.

how are the ski beatz tracks on this? I really dig some of his stuff, but all of it seems to border on laidback and boring. I don't like DZA much, but if the beats are there I can stomach him.
also, I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone but without a intro thread or anything, i figured i'd just post in a thread with a lot of traffic. I hope I can find some dope stuff through this board.
