It's a great game.

Unfortunately, I feel it will have the same fate as Halo- being called overrated and so, even by ones who own the system.

Speaking by that, do you like Halo TC?

I haven't played Halo 3 yet, but I've played Halo 1 and 2, had some great times in MP altho SP was mostly forgettable. I'm guessing it's the same case for GoW. I'm wondering if anyone in this thread claiming GoW has a "great" SP has played games such as Bioshock or Fallout 3? Because from what I've seen so far, a more accurate description of GoW is "mediocre".

The SP is actually the main reason I got Gears 2, I'm not a big fan of the MP. Have you tried the MP? Maybe you'll like that better than the campaign.Floppy_Jim

Nah, haven't played MP yet, I usually play SP first but it's really not even giving me a reason to WANT to play MP.

So I played some GoW2 last night, and I'm really not seeing what all the hype is about. Cliche story with stereotypical meatheads who never have anything insightful or interesting to say, along with some rather standard and unimpressive combat. Is this one of those games like Halo that everyone just plays for the multiplayer?

I hope they do SOON, the technology inside the 360 is horribly outdated now. I hope that whole rumor about the 360 lasting till 2015 isn't true, oh god, that would be awful.

There were a lot of problems with Oblivion. To name a few, repetitive environments, uninspired combat, unvaried enemies, uninteresting main quest, and a really grindy leveling system...but at the end of the day, I'd still recommend it, it's just a bit overrated.

It's not that hard to figure out... Big PC exclusives are a rarity these days. Whether or not you think PC gaming is dying, there's no doubt that the number of PC exclusive games are shrinking day by day. The vast majority of PC games released in the past, say, 3 years have been console ports, games that need to be able to run on those consoles. Simple as that. You're not going to be seeing many games pushing your system until the next gen consoles come out.

considering COD4 is going for $29.99 at most places nowadays, and that MW2 isn't out for another 6 months, it's pretty much definitely worth it.

it's definitely worth it, but it's a shame 360 TF2 isn't being supported or updated like the PC version still is. it's missing out on tons of new maps and weapon upgrades ect
