i suggest just trading it in for another ds lite. there is really no reason for wanting a DSi. all it has is a low res camera and some useless apps. plus the DSware is offering crappy mini games to buy on their store. its like buying ONE of those mini games from wario touched for 5 dollars =(. you also cant play GBA games and you get less battery life compared to the DS lite.

maybe you can try returning your DS lite to nintendo and check if theyll replace it or fix it.

Silver DOES NOT show fingerprints, smudges, scratches, or wear around the buttons.

SILVER is the way to go, no doubt about it.

i agree. silver seems like it wont show dirt, fingerprints, etc. It probably wont resist scratches and fingerprints as much as the white one can, but its still pretty good.

as with the crimson, it has a matte finish on the bottm of the DS unlike the onyx. So no fingersprints or scratches there.....BUT the red top is STILL glossy. Seems that the red would probably show smudges and scatches easily, but not as much as how much you see on the glossy top of the onyx DS.

On the white ds, you dont really see any smudges or scratches since yeah its white, yet you can see dirt easily, especially on the edges.

i dont understand why in the world would people buy a DS phat when you have no ds. I dont understand why people would wanna buy that big clunky thing with dull screens around when there are better options (just the way i see it, no offence to people who have one). Here are my suggestions:

For DSphat owners or for people who dont own any DS.

-If you dont have a DS and wanna play BOTH DS and GAMEBOY ADVANCE games, go for the DS lite man.

-If you dont have a DS and only care about playing DS games, you should probably wait and maybe get the DSi

-If you have the DS phat and wanna play BOTH DS and GAMEBOY ADVANCE, you should probably consider just sticking to your DS phat or getting a DS Lite (i recommend getting the Lite)

-If you have the DS phat and only care about playing DS games, yeah you might wanna wait and consider getting the DSi

For DS Lite Owners

- If you have a DS Lite and wanna play BOTH DS and GAMEBOY ADVANCE games, you should probably stick to your DS Lite.

thats a console game....you cant compare console reviews to handheld ones. besides, who gives a higher score or whatnot isnt very relavent. its the majority as a whole.

and man people are getting WAY TOO damn defensive here. people here are just merely stating their opinions on the game and the reviews for this game. i have to admit though, dont fully judge the game until you have tried it yourself (not everyone has the chance to do so given certain circumstances and have to settle with what reviews say though). i myself think that the blue hedgehog has seen better days. i actually picture sonic on life support trying to keep on making a good game (except for the DS games. those are good). all in all, i didnt get pulled into the hype this game was getting and i wasnt expecting too much seeing as this is the first chance for sega making a sonic rpg.

oh btw... i noticed the anime reference.

can i ask for the full name of this anime. i'm interested in seeing what it is all about.

thanks for the tip for the crimson ds. as for the anime, its called tengen toppa gurren lagann. Its one of the top 10 animes of ALL TIME in japan as well as in many other websites. Your not gonna find any other anime thats as epic as this one. Its very criticly acclaimed. They already released like 2 episodes dubbed in american on sci-fi. The dub is ok, but i like the japanese voices better.

With out the GBA pak, the DS would suck, and WTF would motion sensing do when you have a touch screen? You have to ask yourself these things before you post.

wow...you do know that from the very beginning, Miyamoto wanted motion sensing technology on the DS? it seems like a very good chance that nintendo would include that if they released a new handheld. as for the redesign for the ds, i dont think it will be included on there. look at all the redesigns for the GBA. the only feature we really got from those redesigns was just a "backlight" and thats it.

Um, I think it's noticable regardless of the colour. My cobalt ds shows finger prints when sunlight shines on it. I think (don't quote me on this) it would show the finger prints, but only if it was under the sunlight or something. It won't really matter either because you're going to take good care of your ds, right? ;)Proke
