@CallMeDuraSouka Its pretty easy to create a random spawn system.. Back when i was creating maps for Counter Strike 1.6 with the Hammer Editor it was simply placing a spawn box and set it to terrorist, counter terrorist or random and depending on the game type you spread them out accordingly. You can even code in to not spawn there if an enemy is in a certain range of the spawn.

The reason COD games have such bad spawns is because they are designed to keep the action going. Ever wondered why you spawn close to the guy that killed you pretty much every time you die? Its not just at the start of the map. Spawn close to an enemy, instant action situation created. Die, spawn close in the back of your killer, revenge kill. Rinse and repeat... They dont want you to spawn somewhere safe and then having to walk 30secs to find your next target.

@ordie988 Color coded gear has been a thing for a long time, not just in shooters. Games like Diablo and other RPG's use it as well.

The thing that strikes me the most is that they are doing these "drops". Games like DOTA2 and CS:GO have this as well.. which makes me think that COD:AW is a test station and we might see a marketplace for these drops in the future. Right now you can trade them in for XP.. watch that turn into real money trades in the next COD.

@sethfrost Artistic Freedom still brings forth the best games. It doesn't matter if the company is big (Valve, CD Projekt Red) or small (Double Fine, Klei Entertainment), letting your team go at it the way they want and taking time to finish the game contributes so much to success. Gamers notice. And they will support that.

Moba's have a pretty high learning curve and a lot of time needs to be invested in them. People wont simply jump ship or scatter their time across several moba's. Right now theres enough moba's to pick from. Any more and the genre gets saturated with copies of copies just like in the fps genre. LoL and Dota are the Battlefield and CoD of moba's. Everything else might sell a few copies but will never bump them off their thrones.

@KerrinScott @Talis12 Thats pretty handy.. I have +2 in Sneak to steal office supplies easier, +1 in Crafting for better pots of coffee and +6 in Agility so my stapler does more damage. My Pants of Sloth sets back my Speed to -2 however :(

i reckon that if you would introduce a loot system into the work space of a company, production would be up in no time. You managed to deliver the Mail of Insight? Here's a free snack.. You defeated the giant called Project Analysis? Here's a gift card... or a weekend for two in a hotel.
