4 rounds of comparing XBox360 and PS3 graphics, are you serious? What a waste of time. You can't compare a singular high-end PC to gaming platforms and it be an end-all discussion, because there are thousands of other possible configurations for a gaming PC. The PC always has the POSSIBILITY for the best graphics around, but only if you spend time and money (to me, though, that's part of the fun), but consoles always have consistent, great graphics. The PC is an enthusiast platform, PC gamers don't just build gaming PC's just to game. If you want to game, you buy a console and a nice HDTV. If you buy a high-end PC just for games, your wasting your money.

Yes it would be cheaper to buy a xbox 360 for 300$ than it would be to upgrade to a 8800gtx. But that doesn't include the $2,000+ for an HDTV, plus $100 for the HDMI cable, and then a receiver and speakers (300$+) for surround sound, in order to get Bioshock to look and sound anywhere close to the PC. And still, all you can do is play games on it. I won't get into the whole "PC is better than consoles" argument. But if all I see are price wars, don't forget what you've already put into it. My entire PC setup doesn't even come to half the price of a decent sized HDTV.
