I have three options.

#1: Dell XPS 210 ($1000 version)
#2: Dell Inspiration 513
#3: Build my own rig with a budget of $1000

What's the best option? Also, I've never built a computer before, so can I have some resources, tips, and what's the best to buy? I'd like my PC to be able to play Crysis on decent settings.

That's not too surprising, since this PC is about 5 years old.

But, I'm interested in building my own rig.

How much money would I have to spend to upgrade my computer to the minimum requirements for Crysis (if I can at all)?
Would I have to buy a new computer?

Yeah. Those things had crappy quality.

Now we have HD DVD and Blu-Ray.
