Haha i remember that hunt...I wasn't clear on what cloudy meant, so when it was clear i was walking around thinking it was cloudy, then i zoned 5 ot 6 times and saw what they meant by cloudy. I had convinced myself that since there were clouds in the sky that counded because it kept switching between rainy and clear.

:lol: That hunt was kinda stupid in that sense. oh, I'm sorry I decided to come out on a nice sunny day to slay this beast. I didn't know he prefered the cloudy/rainy weather :P Does it want me to bring some milk and cookies for a snack also? :P

I totally agree. For others it must've been the hardest thing ever, however I never got past it without cheating with a Gameshark. Tee hee~ :D I got to lvl up with each action and JP never went down.

Mmm....in a sense, yes. When you fight Ultima, it switches from different conditions to another. Like for a few minutes you can't attack, and then you can't use magic, and then you can't use items...so forth and so forth. Oh, and then it alternates from HP sap to MP sap.

Most annoying battle EVER.

Then again, I haven't fought Zodiark or Yiazmat yet. :P

Ugh, Zodiark is by far more annoying than Ultima. After about 30-40 minutes of grinding through the dungeon where he is at (with no save point at the end before you fight him, at least I didn't see one after running around for a few minutes looking for one) You have to fight him. His Darkja attack can kill instantly, despite the fact it does between 4000-6000 damage per person. And he can pull it off multiple times in the matter of about 5-10 seconds. Even if you have the dark armor, shields, buffs, etc. on you, it can still instantly kill you or your entire group. And he has the most HP of any Esper, so it takes forever to hurt him. As you hurt him, he just casts Darkja more and more, ridiculously more and more to add on.

By far, more annoying than any other Esper battle.

I never beat him, if I was able to save before fighting him I probably would've tried more, but I didn't want to do all that over again just to run in and die.

I never beat Yazmat either, I had all but 2 or 3 hunts done by the time I stopped playing XII.

Yeah! Those two areas just suck. The Henne Mines get so hard the closer you get to Zodiark. I always felt so dumb when I kept getting my butt beat by those stupid bats!!! Especially when it's like...5 or 6 of them against you at a time.

And of course I really do hate the Subterra at the Pharos! I don't think I'll ever finish that section. It's just too frustrating. You can't see anything and I never know where in the world I am going! (which really grinds my gears, btw. :P)

yea lol those bats are annoying and the bats in the lhusuu mines are a like when your a low level

and i hated the fact that when you hunt marks sometimes you would have to wait for the right weather in order to see the damn mark
