When people say it's only heard of on pirated copies, you can take that as you need to update your game. If a pirated copy has errors, it will be fixed in a game update. Most people who pirate a game have no idea about patches and game updates, which is why I assume devs deem it acceptable to release buggy games.

The game is fully up to date, steam is pretty good about that and since I have to turn on and update steam to paly the game, I dont think it "needs to be updated", as it is fully up to date as it is.

I have thought about reinstalling it, but I dunno, again, this is a steam game, somehow I dont think that would really help, and there was even someone else over on the steam support forums who had experienced the same type of crash (although the post was dated from a few months ago and there didn't seem to be any resolution to it).

I OWN the game, it's legal and registered and I'm playing it through Steam legitimately. Why that specific crash at that specific moment would only happen on pirated copies is beyond me, but suffice it to say I don't have a pirated copy, and it's really annoying you make a suggestion of that nature before even verifying that your presumption is even true or not, which it isn't, making it look rather silly.

Further more, if this is what it has come to, having a game I DID pay for crashing on me for no discernable reason only to be told I stole it and that's the reason why (whether it's from an uninformed user or otherwise) is an incredibly inane conclusion to immediately jump to.

And I really wanted to progress in my single player game tonight, kind of a buzzkill I suddenly cant and find myself crashing over and over at the same part in Chapter 4.

It seems unavoidable too. Has anyone heard anything or experienced this and know how to fix it?

Right about when he starts describing why players who have played it already may want to play it it cuts out like the video ended even though it was only a little over half way through and endeavors to move onto the next video on the playlist.

Not sure why it does that, but someone should look into it.
