PS4 looks like a clear choice for me. It's an actual gaming console, which is what both systems are directed toward at the end of the day. I already have an "all in one entertainment center" - my PC which is much better hardware wise than either gaming console. I think Microsoft is turning into the new Apple with their restrictions on products - a very bad move.

I hope FFXV is enough to bring us back to the days of Square's epic story telling. Looks really amazing.

Between this, the new FF, KH 3, Metal Gear, Killzone, Thief, and the rest of the line up, it looks like multiple quality games are returning to the consoles.

Sony specifically has done a really amazing job listening to the players and implementing an independent offline option as well as game sharing between players. On top of that, they are dropping their price $100 under Xbox. Very impressive marketing. The only mistake Sony made was using ATI graphics instead of an Nvidia =)~

@MightyEzekiel That was a great game...with a horrible ending =( Hopefully this doesn't turn out the same way.

@DefinitivePlus @Kravyn81 Although technically a FPS, Condemned and it's sequel were some of the best crime/horror games on the Xbox 360 to date. Then you have Silent Hill series, Dead Space, The Last of Us to name a few.

This is an unnecessarily over-hyped game.

I can't believe that it's "acceptable" in the gaming community to praise a game with a decent story and completely unacceptable graphics with current technology.

I can't go as far as call the story amazing as it's core concepts were already done in the 1990's with games like Xenogears and FFVII. The contrast between reality (in the game) and the alternate "worlds" (for lack of better word and without ruining the plot) were done in games like Silent Hill. It's the same rehashed shit with a little twist.

Yay, let's praise the voice acting and dialogue. This was a true feat when a game like Kingdom Hearts came out for PS2 and the staff hired Disney's/Square's original character voice actors to make the story telling more akin to what we remember growing up. It should go without saying that games should follow the same standards for hiring excellent voice actors.

The voice acting is certainly nothing special in this game. Plus, the facial expressions are so bad that it dissociates even the best voice acting. If you want an example with excellent voice acting with matched facial expressions, Enslaved or, dare I say, Heavy Rain (which everyone seems to compare this game to) comes to mind. Morrigan from Dragon Age is another example of an excellent voice actor that brought a character to life with good facial expressions.

The remake of this game is equivalent to the recent re-make of Baldur's Gate...the graphics are just as bad and the gameplay is not improved enough to be worth the price and the tag "remake".

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like gaming has gone from bad graphics and epic stories to epic graphics and bad stories back to bad graphics and re-hashed "epic" story telling. I'm still waiting for epic graphics and an epic novel ideas like we saw with game such as Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Walking Dead, etc

Danny, this is a fantastic video. You and everyone who was willing to come forward on camera and talk about their problems and how they've overcome them should be very proud.

The benefits of games span well beyond the psychological disorders that were touched upon in your video. Many children "diagnosed" with ADHD are able to play video games for hours at a time with fantastic attention span off any medication which completely negates the diagnosis.

Elderly patients with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease show immense improvement in motor coordination and memory respectively when using the Nintendo Wii (there was a famous article about a nursing home when the Wii first came out).

I personally used the Wii when I was in medical school to play Trauma center - absolutely silly to most people. I practiced steadying my hands and when I got into surgical residency I was well ahead of many of my peers in the laparoscopic modules we used before operating on real patients. Going back further - just the simple hand eye coordination and discipline to play certain games improved my studying habits and efficiency.

With all that said, the flip side is that games can spiral an already bad mental disorder into a worse one as you clearly mentioned. It's up to the person to take control of themselves and find that balance. The people in this video were able to do it, which is truly inspiring for others.
