@sodapoppimpski: Nah Moonco, your comment was stupid and was posted to start a flame war. Not everyone who plays Gears is a dudebro, but you assuming it does tells more about you than it does the people who enjoy Gears. And Im pretty sure you have no grasp of the scientific method and how it is applied to theories.

@se7en1989: They won't release on Steam. GoW4 is part of Microsoft's Play Anywhere feature which allows you to purchase once, and have on both PC (Windows 10 Store) and Xbox One. On top of that, it is a Microsoft Owned title now. You would have just as much luck waiting for them to release it on PS4.

@marklodi: So the thing is, a lot of people suck at this game. There are a handful of good Battlefield players out there, but only because they have played every iteration of the game. Its not an easy game to be good at, and I think thats what scares people away. Im actually not great at it myself, and consider myself lucky to even get 1 kill per conquest match, and I feel like I am pretty alright at every shooter I have laid my hands on, but I still manage to have fun with it. To be fair, Battlefield 1 is the only Battlefield I have ever enjoyed, it just clicks with me.

The object of the game/match is to be useful to your squad and team, which means you can heal, provide ammo, capture points, or do damage to vehicles, so its not just about kills. And for the most part, people online will be happy to provide pointers, however as with most MP games, I usually do not hang out in public chat because there is a lot of vitriol to be heard. Check out some YouTube videos as there are plenty out there that will help you along the way.

Just know that you will die...a lot. Its expected, and its ok. You will get sniped from people you can't see, you will be shot by shit in the sky, you will get killed by random explosives, enemies will spawn behind you (squad spawning is a gift and a curse). But ultimately, this is a game and you are meant to have fun with it. Ignore people who try to stop you from doing that.

@twerkloak: For what it's worth, this game can be purchased and used on Steam, and I myself was able to buy my copy (digital key) at a discount from a third party retailer that was redeemable on Steam, so DRM shouldn't be a concern. As for the issues on PC, while I have only played an hour, I have everything jacked up to the max setting (minus what Bethesda/Arkane recommended with HBAO and Dynamic Resolution Scaling) and the game has been running buttery smooth. Running an i7 3.6ghz Quad Core, 980 GTX, and 32gb ram. Take that with a grain of salt as I have not gotten very far into the game. What I have played so far has been amazing though.

@chiefwiggum16: I had problems with framerate stuttering at launch, and so did many others. If it's working fine now that's great, but it has not always ran fine. Like I said, I haven't checked in a while so my issue may have been fixed. I will boot it up again tonight to see.

@xcreep1ngdeath: Don't tell me they still have not fixed the framerate stuttering. Haven't checked in a while, been playing on Xbox since PC issues were annoying af.

@elheber: Hacking seems to function fine, but if you're running a higher resolution on a widescreen, 21:9, selecting nodes is tricky as your curser is offset by quite a bit. So to select a node, you will have to have your cursor off to the right somewhere. Not a gamebreaker, but definitely annoying.
