Just to make clear and i wish i didn't always have to do this when criticizing a console, just so i'm not flamed and called a fanboi. However i do not own any console atm and i don't favour one or the other....
I was just round my mates and he's been through 3 360's already and everyone of them have died from this red ring of death. Anyways he picked up Halo 3 the other day and i played it all the way through the other day but today his console has died from you guessed it the red ring of death. Now he's having to probably wait about a month for Microsoft to Fix it and wont be playing his fave game (i didn't like it myself lol) and quite rightly he's ****ed off.
So it's just got me thinking that the failure rate on these consoles must be 100% because they all are made the same and suffer from the same problem with seems like some sorta cooling issue on the processor? This problem has put me off buying a 360 before and i know i'm a PC gamer but i wanted to pick one up for the sports games that the PC doesn't do well.
Also the 360 is soooo LOUD when my mates PS3 is dead silent and so is the Wii and my PC doesn't make a sound due to it being cooled by water a copper pipes. The other problems i have with the console is how you have to buy a battery recharged seperate from the console also you have to buy a HDMI cable seperate which seems stupid. My final problem with the quality of the console is how it scratches up every disc, the tray seems to be really cheap quality and has nothing to protect the discs like my PC one has.
I'm just giving my thoughts on what Microsoft have to improve on because the PS3 doesn't have anything i want to play other than titles that arn't out yet and will probably be ported and the Wii isn't my thing. If Microsoft fixed these issues then i'd probably go out and buy one and pick up fight night or something lol.

Not all 360's fail you do know that? I've had mine for about 4 months and had no problems with it. None of my discs are scratched and it's stored vertically which some advise against (rubbish imo). How protected are you expecting the discs to be anyway, it's not a safe. It's a game console designed to play video games. Nothing more. Some people just have bad luck with the consoles they purchase. Plus some people don't even look after them properly e.g. moving the console with discs inside which should be strictly forbidden and not storing them in a well ventilated area.

That guy was obviously playing, just cause they were women. It's sad, but alas the world we live in. I've seen other comments about Assasin's Creed, because the producer is a woman, I've seen people say, "Oh it's been developed by a woman, I have to play it" for him and others like him, it seems the game is immaterial.

I pretty much agree with you. We shouldn't really need groups of girl gamers. We should just be able to play games online and not be surprised when we bump into a female on XBL. When you think about it it is pretty sad that we now have to play a game just because its against girls and not just fellow "gamers". Anyway rant over for now.

lol. Hopefully yes. I wanna see improvements to Windows Live Messenger on XBL. I did want to see a web browser on it but i don't really want that anymore as i'm getting my own PC soon and won't have to share. :)
I love Dead Rising. Had it for months now and am still finding cool new stuff to do. Like new weapons to use, levelling up and I just recently discovered you have access to cars early on in the game. Its great fun. :D
gears of war is just an engine demo at the top of a mountain of hype. the more i think about it, the more i realize that gears suffers from having way to many stolen ideas (RE4) as well as just terrible game design in way to many areas. ppl who realy think it's that amazing of a game probably just host games so they can shotgun everyone els from 20ft away. i realy liked it for the first week it came out, but after that it's just so boring! every situation is exactly the same and more often then not it;s totaly randome as to who comes out the winner.wreak
Agreed. I got GoW with my 360 and got bored of it after a few weeks. So I traded it in for Dead Rising which is a much more enjoyable game.
