The PS3 without a doubt has a great deal of potential, But potential does'nt sell consoles. especially if that console costs $399. Good games are what drives the success of a console, And the cross-platform titles have either been primarily outperformed by 360 in graphical or framerate quality, Also, several Sony-exclusive titles failed to meet expectations ( Lair, Gran turismo prologue, Haze) And they have lost exclusivity for other titles, Including the devastating loss of FF13. However, fortunately for Sony, the PS3 just may be nearing the top of it's uphill climb. With solid titles like LBP and Resistance 2, The launch of HOME, And a sharp increase in HDTV ownership, It may only be one more price drop away from gaining some much needed ground. And as far as the graphics bieng darker in one version, What they failed to mention is that several TV's use different methods to achieve blacks, So shading and texures that look too light or dark on one set will vary and will often simply require some slight calibration to improve.

So, I guess this research study will finally settle the bitter debate over which console has the better "shadowed rocks" And as a result, Sony vows that going forward, they will put intense focus on their rock shadowing department, And have promised that "there will never again be any question which console has the better shadowed rocks" and will ensure that "If we release a game, and that game has rocks, and those rocks cast shadows, those rocks will be shadowed the best"

Regardless of the countless side-by-side and frame-rate comparisons, and Regardless of who wins, The current state of the console wars may lead to a lack of progress in both content and quality of titles for some time.to come, As many game developers will have little incentive to explore the full potential of the PS3's processor speed or Blu-ray disc capacity when games for the 360 are selling more units at the same price on a standard DVD format.
