viberooni "Damn, you guys might need some more reviewers to cover the 40+ next gen titles hitting the states this November. Want to give me a job?" Anyone with a Day of the Tentacle avatar deserves any job he wants!!
dragkill "Plus I have done some small surveys, and only 32.54% of people that i have surveyed said they wanted the system, but only 10.72% said they THINK it's possible for them to get it. (Btw the number of people was around 5000 people total, from different locations)" People need to make sure they don't rag on this guy and sayi that a survey of only 5000 isn't enough. Granted these sort of informal surveys tend to have some degree of bias in them. But, 5000 people is a whole hell of a lot of people for a statistical survey. Many statistical surveys found in professional journals are between 1200 and 2000 people. So, even with some degree of bias this survey should be fairly representative of the areas in which it was performed.
Knievs_101 "Unless I'm reading things wrong here, the Nunchuku doesn't come packed in." The package comes with the wii-mote and the nunchuku. The problem comes when purchasing an additional controller. In that case the wii-mote and nunchuku are seperate items.
Atomic_Mutant "I can probably equate Nintendo not having HD to the oversight that they committed in choosing catridge over CD in their N64 era." Oh yes. And we all know that the N64 was a collosal flop. Right. Also, I would like to know who you 'heard' that 90% of tvs will be HD capable from. Did you also know that 73% of all percentages are made up?
theskank "Oh geee look you can play all these great games from like 6-8 years ago. NO KIDDING they will run fine on old hardware. THANKS GAMESSPOT FOR THE GREAT INFO...This would make more sense if it was a list of NEW games that run well on older hardware." Hey moron. Read the list again. The vast majority of these games are from within the last 2 or 3 years. In fact, a good number of them are from this year. So, just shut your mouth until you have something intelligent to say.
There is one game I really disagree with on this list. Civ IV should not be here. Don't get me wrong, I love the game. But, the fact of the matter is if you get a huge map fully revealed and lots of units moving around it becomes a serious system hog. It's the same problem that Sim City IV has. Also, as far as nostalgia goes, I'm gonna have to say Dune 2. :D
I'm sure someone has already said this, but I didn't feel like reading the 308 comments already posted. The fact is that Vista isn't finished and very likely a lot of the more current games will have patches released to correct any errors.
