i have the same model but with an amd a8. bf3 textures run at ultra and the rest fairly high at default. i might get alot more out of it. i never tried tweaking yet. bf3 is interesting to install.. kind of a pain.. make sure you update your laptop through hp updates and windows update too to make sure it will be running optimally. good job getting an HP too. edit forgot... update yourgraphics too through amd/nvidias whoevers website.
i just bought a new HP laptop and im really happy with it. I recommend hp. they have the top customer satisfaction second to apple. the laptop i bought is quad core with 1 g video ram and 8g ram. only 750 dollars. i say only because the other option was a macbook pro. im expcting medium to pushing past high graphics wise in swtor. it runs warcraft on ultra.
as good as the cpu power is, they really could have put a lot more graphics power into it. it should run games on the lowest setting. best to check the games website forums of the game you're looking at.
