The GTX 280 was supposed to be the Crysis killer, so what happened? This card alone struggles to run Crysis on 2560x1600 resolution with AA and High settings. It has no hope with Very High and AA on. Even at 1900x1200.

I would like to pose a question. How did the developers know it could actually run on these settings when they made it? They wouldn't have been able to test that with a rig back when they were making it and even now, the only thing with a chance would be 3-way 9800GX2's... Would that even be able to max it?

I have nothing against the game though.

Also, could someone inform in regards to Warhead. I heard it is an expansion, and it has tweaked the engine to run much more smoothly. Will Warhead include the original? And should I wait until that comes out to get Crysis?

If you use it as a blu-ray player then why is it all dusty? You mustn't watch too many blu-rays so why did you spend $400US on a console just to watch a movie every so often, although not often enough that the metaphorical dust doesn't collect on it. I am actually quite amused by your strange opinion, and the fact that you have justified it in your own mind.

The what were you doing spending $400 on a system that you didn't like any of the games on? You are make some rather unwise decisions with your money.

Any real gamer could easily find a dozen or so games on the PS3 to play.

It isn't that the PS3 doesn't have any games. It is either you are way to picky or you just don't have much interest in games all together.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was saying. He comes here and says that PS3 has no good games in his opinion, yet he decided to spend $400US on it. Sounds like a waste to me.

Good games I would regard as anything above 7, great above 8, excellent above 9. PS3 has heaps of exclusives above 8 and so how anyone can complain that there are no good games is a joke. Saying they didn't interest you is a completely useless thing to post becuase, quite frankly, you interests are of no interest to me, and not likely to anyone else. The fact is that PS3 DID have great games, but MGS4 has started shining as an AAAAE. (ie. 10/10)

PS3 only 'doesn't have AAAe's' on gamespot (well it does have Ninja Gaiden Sigma). On IGN it has 3 - Resistance, Uncharted and R&C.

Must I remind you that Halo 3 is now the only AAAe on the 360? Gears, Mass Effect and Bioshock aren't exclusives anyway. The 360's AAAe's are just Halo 3, and I would rather have a cake without Halo 3 thank you very much.

Oh, and BTW, at least PS3 has an AAAAe.

When people talk about console graphics..How come they never talk about Halo 3's graphics? Halo 3 is MUCH MUCH more impressive then a lot of other games.

They don't talk about it becuase it isn't the best, and that is what this thread it about. Opening sequence of Halo, a marine appears to be wearing a triangle, when it turns out to be his hat. Halo has good textures, but not so good polygon counts.

As for MGS4 not having as many polygons as Gears models, I wouldn't belive that until I saw an actual polygon count from each developer.

How is that rich? It actually makes sense. MGS4 doesn't rival Crysis, that was a dumb thing to say, hence you getting called a cow. Don't even try to argue that MGS4 looks as good as Crysis, especially Crysis on full.

The best looking console graphics out there are Uncharted and Gears of War. MGS4 looks great too, but if you look at all of the comparisons out there, the 360 has the better looking games. That means that the 360 could run Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, Killzone 2 EVEN BETTER.wapahala

HAHAHAHA. Notice the could. You know why it can't? A little format called Blu-ray. Uncharted devs said they couldn't port it because it wouldn't fit. Killzone2 is 2GB per level, maybe you could play 3 levels on the 360... and MGS4, let's not even start on how you would fit that onto a DVD. Sorry man, but 360 couldn't run these games. Looking at all the comparisons for ports, GTA IV, COD4, DMC4 are just a few games with no differences in graphics. If we are talking comparing exclusives then comparisons are pretty useless, as it is way too subjective to come to a conclusion.

What you said was true. Both have heaps of good games coming out in the future. I have heard the Gears 2 Fable 2 Too Human argument multiple times, and it is very effective. How someone knowing that a console has a good future line-up is a bad argument escapes me.

In Austria the prices are sky high, tell me the price for a PS3. And I like that you said low-medium and not pure medium! :)

Yup they are pretty brutal, but it boils down to: in most countries, to play crysis you need rig which is about twice as much as a console. Just to clarify, it takes a fair computer to pump out crysis on medium, I ran bioshock on high and could barely run crysis on low. This isn't about that though, this is about MGS4 as a console game, which does have great graphics in comparison to many others. Crysis flattens all other console titles so it was useless bringing it into this in the first place.

Only one of those games you listed are out, the rest yo u have to wait and see if the yare good games besides the way overdone hype from ps fans.

Generally what happens when a game comes out a year or two later...

Stop comparing to crysis, it is so useless. You need a $1300+ rig to run that game on full, much more than any of the consoles.

My rig costs 876$ including shipment of parts excluding monitor (hooked to TV) and it runs Crysis at very high+ 1280*1024 30-40fps. Also Crysis medium setting **** all over this game, just look at MGS4 screenshots... *pukes in mouth* BUT hey its all about the gameplay right? Right if only the AI was not the definition of stupidity and so suicide prone. ;)

Send me all of your parts and their prices, and make sure that's in $AU which is what I said. I included the monitor in the price though. Don't bother turning this into a PC vs console debate, PC is far better but it does cost more than a console. Crysis is on neither console and PC was never meant to be compared to the consoles, it is such an unfair comparison. I am a PC gamer myself.

To clarify, it doesn't rival crysis at all, but it sure beats the crap out of crysis on medium-low.
