I'll boycott anything with DRM in it. Rationale:

- I do not lather to being treated like a criminal when I've paid for a game

- Most who pirate do it because they cannot afford the games (no sales lost) or to try before they buy ( perfectly reasonable exercising of consumer rights and sales are only lost if the game is a dud, deservedly so)

- If do not have the opportunity to 'try before I buy', I won't risk throwing down coin for products that are more and more becoming beta tester versions that need to be patched myriad times before they work... if they ever work *coughDeadRising3cough*

- Hackers crack because it's a challenge and because they can -- no level of DRM will stop them, effectively making DRM a punishment for paying consumers. Do these game developer dopes who can't make a 2D pixel art game run without crashing on every second rig set-up think they can defeat Ruski and Sino hackers? Really?!

- "DLC" (read: stripped content) racketeering has gotten to such an unashamed level that even if 50% all games player were pirated, games companies would still be in the black. Video gaming is the literal 'Wild West' of retail, with so few recourses for consumers who feel they've been had. If games companies can ride shotgun all the way to the bank with the money they fleece off of hapless customers, so too can gamers hold up the stagecoach from time to time get something back.

- People will pay for good games; period. If you make a garbage game and try to pass it off as something it's not in order to essentailly rip people off, you deserve to have your games pirated / your business fail / have to line up for food stamps.

- These are video games, not the Pentagon. To have to get a veritable retina scan before one can fritter some time away with stupid video game is far more of an insult any self-respecting person should be able to brook.

Why do a lot of gamers hate the Halo series?g805ge

Because it's a series of forgettable, ho-hum, kiddy FPS games that caters exclusively to those of sub-normal Intelligence Quotiants. So... I suppose... people in general don't like this kind of thing.

SSFII Turbo HD Remix is the greatest treat for SFII fans ever madeASK_Story

This statement may have had some semblance of truth to it IF they hadn't have tinkered with the game and made it the 'Hyper Damage' turd it turned out as. >_>

Thank god for Streety IV!:D

I agree. If you try to post anything bad about gears 2 on epics forums, theyll ban you. i called "cliffy b" a dork and was banned but he is a douche too.guppieface

Yep. I too can confirm that. They plug their ears to ANY criticism, let alone insults. I was summarily banned (no warning - nothing) a couple of days after release of the game when my innnocuously composed thread containing a poll asking who would be returning their copy of the game in light of its underwhelming nature -- a poll which showed a heavy correllation towards those that were considering returning the game -- caught the eye of one of the sires fanboy, yes-men mods.

It's pretty obvious to me that if those tossers at Epicfailure aren't even willing to listen to complaints, then the chances of them fixing what's wrong with Quears 2 are about the same as George W. getting re-elected! They've got their money now. Buyer beware is patently their philosophy. All we can do now is return the game if you still can or let the on-line die in the ass (as it surely will under the weight of its own utter broken-ness) in the hope that M$ themselves step in and force them to do something about the state of the game. Or at least kick them in their much-probed backsides enough so as to goad them into making a [second] sequel that is a lot closer to par.

FINAL NAIL??? Are you kidding? o_0 ...the game came gift wrapped in its own ready-made coffin! lol XD In actuality, there are so many 'nails' in the Quears of Bore Too's coffin that I imagine the body inside (Cliffy Dweeb...?) must be a veritable voodoo doll! XD

As far as glitchers go, if the game truly were a competitive, tactical third-person shooter as the franchise was touted as being from the get-go but never was, I too would be irked by excessive glitching. But lets be honest, whether it was the shotguns and hosts in the first game or the zillion issues with this iteration, Quears has always been about as far from a 'serious' shooter as it could conceivably be.

So to me, glitching in an already tongue-in-cheek game is fine - more power to those savvy enough to uncover glitches! Shield + any weapon sounds fun. Invisibility sounds hilarious! It's not the glitchers or those who discover them who are at fault anyway, it's Epicfailure's. It's through their apathy and rapacious haste to bank their cheques that they left all the bugs in the final product and [yet] still asked full RRP price for the mess they presented us with. Shame on EPICFAILURE for screwing us.

Go glitchers! Make that lazy development company pay for their apathy!
