@engenderreality @Roffey23 Ok...for one the 24 hour check in was NOT just for when you bought a game digitally...it applied to the console...the console needed to be connected to the internet every 24 hours or else it would turn into a brick. You need to think about other people mate, not everyone has a stable internet connection and there are people who don't have access to the internet. What would you say to them? Too bad, just play an xbox 360?
" How the **** do you use a game irresponsibly?" ...Pirate the disk (i.e. the whole reason behind DRM...)
"As far as the lending games, it was so you couldn't install a game on your hard drive and then give it to a friend while continuing to play the game." Yeah to be honest you're probably right here. However quoting Microsoft directly in regard to their used game policy ( which was also affected by ther DRM restrictions) (source:http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/license) "We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers"...note publishers 'can enable' and 'participating retailers'...sorry, but giving retailers power over what you can do with your games is screwing you over. You give publishers an option and of course they'll block used games...it costs them money.
To be honest i think we both have differing opinions on this subject, if you're going to continue to defend and Microsoft's policies and their 'long therm vision' i can respect your loyalty. But you have to realise that most consumers won't. I probably won't wait for a response. Have a nice day.
@engenderreality @Roffey23 ..ok...so you like the idea of spending your hard earned money on a console and games, only to have that company say NO! you can't be trusted to use it responsibly...check back in 24hours and we'll let you keep playing. Alternatively, the fact that Microsoft was going to stop you from lending games to your friends (without paying a fee that is)...how is that not screwing over consumers? I'll wait.
@GrillePainMAN @Roffey23 Yeah, fair point. The fact that you're able to balance GTA 5 with a busy family life is in itself commendable. I one day hope to aspire to that level of self control.
