Seeing as how I haven't played the previous games in depth (I don't own them) I found the demo very enjoyable and I am considering buying it when it comes out. I loved the artistic design, the combat, and the amount of depth. The controls were a little... not American at first but I started to pick up on them and found that they are fairly deep once you master them. The boss battle was also a lot of fun and enjoyable. Kind of excited for it and I'm curious why there is so much hate. I guess if I were a long time fan it might be disappointing.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm trying to make a very atmosphereic (is that a word) story, where the reader can imagine the scenario perfectly, without it getting boring. Some books over explain a scenario and it become boring, but I think I may have found a way around that.

Pretty excited for how its going to turn out.

Oh the turbines on the robot aren't jet turbines. I should probably rephrase it a little better. They're like two giant turbines without fans, and instead have green glowing energy. So it floats by means unknown.

I know repition isn't good. I tried using it in a way so that it wouldn't sound as annoying. There are some typos in there, and some incorrect sentences. I didn't check it yet, and I know unaverage isn't a really good word.

I'm new, and I'm pretty sure this is a writing union so here I go.

It was a sunset on top of Hill Nostalgia. The wind was blowing the fields of green grass. Cherry blossoms floated in the air from the top of the hill. All was calm. It was a perfect paradise yet so little was there. There were no animals, not even birds, no buildings in sight, and nothing happened there. It was a place of peace, and quiet. But it was a hell in itself.

The sound of music could be faintly heard. A lone person sat on top of the hill. Leaning against a cherry tree, looking over at the sunset. The person held a small guitar, and played tunes so beautiful, that the entire hill was in a trance. Another gust of wind blew cherry blossoms from the tree. It was perfect. Nothing could ruin the hill, and nothing could be remembered of the hill. Life grew sprouted from the hill, while nothing happened on the hill. All that stood there was a lone tree, and the figure.

In the shadow of the tree the figure played. Showing no signs of emotions, almost as if hypnotized by the world of the hill. Why would someone want to leave this hill. Could the most lifeless hill be paradise. Could the world be in balance from the hill. The figure knew nothing. Only the guitar in its hands was all it knew. The sheer nature of the hill was alarming. Nothing ever happens when life doesn't relent to its own self.

Life was good... but twisted by the very good in which it was...

The figure opened an eye. It was the first in a long time. Quietly the figure looked back at the guitar and played a slightly different tune. It was only a couple new notes to the old tune, but the music breathed life which made it anew. The figure didn't even smile, nothing was happy. How can one be happy when all is peaceful.

Everything froze. A new sound flew through the air. Something that the hill had never heard for many ages. The figure's eyes widened. What was this sound?

A second figure slowly walked up the hill. Only the silhouette of the figure appeared from in front of the sun. The figure held a panflute to his lips. Music that came out was eerie to this old hill of traditional ways. The figure was young in age, tall, skinny, and in the age of growth. He walked in a gliding fashion up the hill, and to the tree. He slowly sat down next to the first figure.

The guitarist recognized him, but said nothing. She didn't want to break the silence. They played together with music, and a new life flowed through the air. The hill was not a place of peace, and isolation, but of eternal joy. The guitarist was a girl of around the same age of the boy. They were friends of a different time. When they knew each other it was a different life.

They played for 36 years...

Qadim awoke from sleep. A drop of water fell from the cold metal ceiling that enclosed his room like a nest of snakes. The water hit his forehead. Air was filled with moisture. There were drops of water falling all over his room. He lived in a room made of pipes, and tubes. Most people couldn't afford even that, mainly because no jobs were available anywhere.

Qadim was an unaverage teen. He lived in a world that may be considered not normal, or right. There were very few rules, and many things didn't make sense. His proportions were odd, because his legs were very tall compared to his body size. His head was also a little large in proportions as well. He wore a black and white striped shirt, and his skin was dark from pollution and soot. What made him unaverage was that his emotion shone like a crystal in the darkness.

He had feelings. Unlike everyone else who lived in the industrial city. Quietly he looked out of his circular window. It was small, but was still okay. It was pouring down rain outside. The air was cool, and the metal he sat on was damp. One of his favorite things was the rain. This was a perfect opportunity to go outside.

Quickly he opened the window, and stuck his hand out. This was rain, and it was the moment of a life time. Though rain was very common, it didn't make it less special. He made a brief smile, and quickly climbed off of some of the pipes. It was quiet. Qadim quickly gathered his rain coat, and umbrella. Walking down a creaking pair of steps, he finally reached the front door. Out he went into a world of wonders, and sorrow.

Buildings were everywhere. These buildings were oddly shaped, and curved. All of them made of metal, and had many pipes coming out of all of them. The city was almost one giant pipe, because everything had pipes. It rained so often that water had to be drained from the massive pipes. Other supplies were gathered in the pipes.

Qadim quickly skipped in the rain. Puddles were everywhere, and the world seemed dark. It was night time still. Mist flowed through the city. Neon lights were on some of the buildings. Qadim walked around the city, and witnessed it being cold, and dark. Lights seemed to be exaggerated from the extreme darkness. Isolation was existing from the very few who walked in the dark rain. But not Qadim. This was his life.

Looking at signs here, and there. There never seemed to be something not exciting in the rain. A cool breeze maneuvered through the city, making the rain blow around in the air. Qadim smiled and held on to his umbrella when it started to turn inside out from the wind. He laughed at the wind, and fixed his umbrella. He strolled up and down alleyways, and climbed the areas nobody climbed. Somehow even the cold, wet metal was easy for him to climb on. Qadim looked up, and saw the upper city. Life was much more exciting in the upper city. Since the buildings reached to the heavens, there were many different lifestyles throughout the city. This would be a night to visit.

Qadim ran through the puddles, making big splashes that sprayed the walls of the rusting buildings. A few people looked at him oddly, and seemed to be intrigued by him. Though none ever spoke to him, for he was a childish sort. Again looking at the sky, Qadim opened his mouth and smiled, trying to catch the giant water droplets that fell from the dark sky. This was the world he lived for. It was also the world that he had lost.

Slowly he walked toward an elevator that was connected to one of the buildings. He quickly got in it, and grinned. He pressed the up arrow, and with a creaking sound, the elevator went up the side of the building. He walked near the edge of the elevator, and tried looking over the side of it. Already he was very high, and the ground was very far away. With every foot the elevator went up, the more life sprung into the city. Buildings didn't look as old and rusted, life seemed less dreary. There were many neon lights on the buildings. The city glowed up here. And to Qadim's satisfaction it made the rain green.

But the city couldn't escape the rain, even with the bright lights it couldn't fool what it was truly like. Dark. The elevator made a sudden stop next to a bridge. The bridge was suspended by wires, and allowed the few people who were awake to move around from place to place. The doors slid open, making a pleasant sound. Qadim walked out into this other world that had replaced his old one. Floating objects bustled around. Bridges were everywhere, attaching buildings to other buildings. Winding and curving with the buildings. He quietly looked around. It was still raining. Looking at the tallest building which loomed over the entire city, he decided to follow a path to it.

The metal was much more shiny here. Everything in this city breathed. From the glow of the lights, to the paths that Qadim now walked on. Qadim gave a small shiver from the cold. The humidity on his face, now cleared off some of his soot. Cleaning him of someone he wasn't. Black puddles started to form by his feet. He had to walk a long distance to reach his goal.

His shadow grew in size from the glow of a nearby light. The light gave his shadow the appearance of something bigger than it really seemed. The rain pattered against his umbrella some more. The rain was pouring more than before. Streams of water came off of the umbrella. Lights danced on the buildings. A low hum came near Qadim.

Slowly he turned around, and saw a large floating machine. It had two giant, green glowing turbines, that allowed it to float by means unknown. It was a light silverish color, but in the rain it looked sad. Between its two turbines was a small robotic head, with green eyes that shone through the dark. It had no appendages, and had a long face. It looked at Qadim with no signs of expression.

A deep vibrating sound came from the machine, "What are you doing young one?" Its voice sounded gentle, but sturdy. The sound within its voice gave it the sense of being powerful.

"Oh I'm just walking in the rain. Gotta love the rain." Qadim said with cheer in his voice. The robot seemed to understand the feeling.

"The rain burdens this city. But the city was built for rain, and without the rain, the city would be useless." commented the machine.

"Yes... I know..." said Qadim with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"The lights, the buildings, the mood, and the life all depend on the rain. Without it, we would have a dull shiny city. But with rain, life spings into the air from places one can't imagine." explained the robot. Even machines that are built to feel nothing, understand the life rain bears.

"I know what you mean again. A forest in the sun is dull, and sad. A forest in the rain shows what life is like with energy through its veins. Rain shows the other side of nature." spoke Qadim in a very energetic voice.

"You seem very wise for a person of your age. I am intrigued where you are going. From your personality you appear to just love the rain. So are you going anywhere?" asked the machine. How could something so monotone, show so much expression?

Qadim though for a few seconds, "Well I am currently headed for the tallest building. I must reach the top of the building, or I will have to go home."

The robot seemed amused, but showed no sign of it. The heavy silence from the machine was overwhelming, "That is a very dangerous place for you to be. But I can take you there if you wish. I have no duties, other than transporting materials."

Qadim gave a huge smile, "Thank you very much! I appreciate it greatly. A lot easier than walking." The machine floated quietly underneath the bridge partially. The vibrating turbines made the rain drops splash much more peacefully. The sound of metal being splashed by rain was peaceful. Echoes of rain drops went through the machine. Qadim quickly jumped on the machine, and it quickly floated upward.

The sensation was beautiful. Rain sprayed Qadim's face, and he giggled. They flew at a fast speed. One could see most of the city. Qadim peered over the side of the machine, and saw the lights everywhere. The rain covering the city, water pouring off of the paths, and the paths formed great webs and networks. At the altitude they were at they could clear some of the buildings. More machines zoomed past them. Some of them were barely visible from the thick rain, but only their glow could be seen.

Finally they reached the tower. The machine started rising vertically in a graceful and calm manner. The tower had more lights than any other, and it seemed to be one giant display of power, and light. It was beautiful. After a small amount of time they had finally reached the top of the building. There on the top was a small garden. The machine floated down towards the garden, and Qadim jumped off.

"Can you get down?" the machine asked.

"Yes I can. But if you want to stay you can." replied Qadim.

"I shall stay with you. I have never gone up here, because I have not needed to." spoke the machine.

"Never? Well you are about to witness the most amazing view in this city. Enjoy." replied Qadim very cheerfully.

The garden was small, but lively. Flowers grew in certain areas, and a strange glow came from all of the plants. And in the center of the garden was a tree. The tree had blue flowers on it. The flowers glowed with an eerie darkness, but was mysterious. Something so bright, was also so dark. Qadim eagerly walked up to the tree. The machine looked around.

The pattering of the leaves against rain. Small lines of water came down from the tree. It was calm, and wonderful. The grass swayed with the breeze. The rain lit up near the flowers.

Looking over the city, Qadim witnessed everything. The city was so bright that the sky had a bright mist over it. Everything was alive. Everything was calm. All was peaceful. Then Qadim leaned back on the tree. Closed his eyes, and pulled out a panflute. The music he played was gentle.

He played the entire night...

Chapter 2

The Day

The night was over. The day had won again. Beauty shone through this city. It was majestic, and amazing to view. The sun was just barely rising over the horizon. This caused the shadows to fall over the city from all of the buildings, and sense of scale was imminent. Qadim however was the only person in the city to not be under the shadows. He was on the tallest tower.

A morning mist flowed through the city. The air was very damp, and moist, and had a very lively feel to it. Just like rain in the sunshine. Dew collected on the flowers of the tree that Qadim lay against. Large drops of water fell from the bright blue flowers. Qadim opened his heavy eyes again. The light of morning against mist was almost unbearable to look at. He smiled.

The city was silent in the morning. Nothing moved. All was calm, and it was mysterious to see so much, do so little. It was the second stage of the rain. From life, to peace. Qadim enjoyed both, but rain always seemed his way to live. A cloud rose on the tower. The spray of moisture blew Qadim's hair back. Nothing was visible anymore, except for the white presence the flowed around the plants, and the tree. It was time to get down.

By now Qadim was used to this. Climbing the tower, and then getting back down. He looked over the edge of the tower. The ground wasn't visible for a large cloud had moved in the way of his sight. The city was a blank sheet. Skyscrapers poked through the sheet, and eventually the cloud dispersed. Beautiful.

The sides of the tower were very steep. But they were built like stairs, and ledges. A monument for all to see. The steps would be Qadim's way down. A very long and perilous journey that he took very often. It was a very slow process of getting down, and very challenging. This tower was vertical. Slowly, but surely he made his way down. The sun shone on this tower of scale. Nothing of Qadim could be seen, for nothing compared to this building.

Morning was passing, for soon it would be noon, and afternoon must have his time. Qadim now entered the middle layer. This is where the other attempts of awe, met with the base of the monument. Now Qadim could reach the city level. Tendrils of metal, and energy flowed around the tower. Each tendril connected to buildings, and other areas. Some of these were used for transportation, some for sending energy from one place to another. For Qadim it was his way down.

Large metal pipes also entangled the buildings. Each one flowing from one area to another. Qadim saw a rail tendril, and he main an enormous leap, and grabbed onto it. These rails or tendrils were life like. They swayed, and bent, and moved gracefully even though they were solid objects. Green lights were lit on the tendrils, and the glow was very ominous. Qadim jumped on the rail, and grinded down. The air blew in his face. He laughed briefly. Seeing a nearby pipe, he jumped off the rail, and landed perfectly on the pipe.

As much as I love LIMBO, and it is now one of my favorite games, I have to say its ending stunk. Actually it doesn't really have an ending.

You have a valid point there. I for one enjoy the campaign as much as the multiplayer IF it has a good campaign. Halo for example, or lost planet are both games where I will play the campaign for hours. In Halo I will play a lot of multiplayer as well, but on Lost Planet I don't care for multiplayer. I wish there was a FPS where the game has a lengthy campaign around 10-20 hours and the game would be really emotional. It is hard to make a shooter emotional because you can get carried away while shooting. So yeah I agree that campaign seems to almost be an extra to games. Several years ago multiplayer was an extra to the campaign. Now today it's the opposite.

Well they're user created so its just random people making what they feel like. Here are the best ones I can think of right off the bat:

I made a game with zombies

Beat Hazard

EZmuze+hamst3r edition

Last survivor

Urban space squirrels

BlindGIRL

Kaliedoscope

all of those are excellent games.

It better be as good for the 360. I have waited for Crysis and its map editor for so long, and if it doesn't come out forthe 360 I will be most upset. I bet they will have a map editor, but I think it won't be as in depth, and probably have a lot of premade buildings.

On xbox live when I look under demos for orange box it says it is rated teen. I'm positive this is a mistake, but just making sure that they didn't change it to teen because why would they.
