A look inside N30F3N1X's mind:
Acosta was massively disrespectful in swatting away the interns arm and demeaning her.
His course of action should have been to give up the mic and then issue a formal complaint.
That was remarkably rude on his end and whether or not you are left or right you should still be respectful towards people.
Freedom of the press shouldn't be taken for granted and an opportunity to be callous towards another human being.
Dropping your arm into someone else's who is right in front of you is also not involuntarily unless it's some type of medical condition.
There are other reporters who ask tough questions and still manage to hold onto their passes. Why does Acosta get a free shot at being rude and dismissing a human being?
Right, he's the asshole for trying to finish his question rather than just accept being shut down as soon as he said something the administration disagreed with.
"Freedom of the press shouldn't be taken for granted"
Guess whose opinion is now invalid?
@theone86: Ah yes, any sane person would find him annoying. None of the other reporters act like that.
Plenty of other reporters act like that, as evidenced by the fact that another reporter brought up a fact that supported Acosta's statements later in the same press conference. And regardless, being annoying is not a reason to prevent a member of the press from asking questions and then revoke his press pass. This is a dangerous imposition on freedom of speech that could turn into something more sinister if left unchecked. Most sane people realize that.
You can't be serious? You're putting words into my mouth. I'm not saying he was an "asshole" for trying to finish his question I am saying he was disrespectful in moving the interns arm like she wasn't important and demeaning her.
"Freedom of the press shouldn't be taken for granted" also doesn't invalidate anyones opinion. For such a strong supporter of freedom of speech you seem very comfortable with trying to invalidate others. That's pretty hypocritical. I also noticed you left the last half that sentence out. Do you believe that freedom of the press grants the press the ability to be callous towards a human being and disregard them?
It's clear that you understand that other reporters acted in a similar manner and yet none of them engaged in a physical action with an intern and none of them had their privileges revoked. If Trump had cancelled the entire session or even refused to let Acosta ask a single question that is one thing.
Is Jim Acosta that important of a figurehead that people are willing to ignore his disrespect to another human being and hide behind a violation of free speech that isn't there?
