Initial impressions were good. Not a huge fan of the BR genre but it did enough to get me to continue playing.

Bit of a learning curve in the beginning. The ping system is a surprisingly useful tool. People are also willing to work together rather than run off on their own. Most importantly (for me anyway) the hit boxes are accurate and the mechanics feel great.

@Thanatos2k: what? The items are cosmetic. How does paying $1000.00 give an advantage over a pure ftp?

This sounds like a very fair system that doesn't create a gap between whales and non-whales. The real issue is that the market is saturated with BR games. Initial impressions seem positive so I may give it a go.

Oh nice I don't have any of these and For Honor is a title ive been wanting to play but was on the fence about.

Hopefully the skill gap isn't too great.

@asnakeneverdies: nothing in my commentary could be interpreted as an attempt at humor. It was a reminder to be cordial and respectful which is a little disheartening considering that should not be something people have to be reminded about.

Reminder to keep commentary civil. It is okay to disagree it's not okay to personally attack someone (this includes derogatory comments about staff). Keep it constructive.

Day one pick up for me and hopefully they'll have a cool CE that I can pre-order. However, I do echo some of the sentiments below in that Dragon Ball Z has been done quite a few times but if this one is successful it may branch of into newer stories.

@thelostscribe: Dragon Ball Legends (the mobile game) has a new story which is pretty interesting. Starts off after the Tournament of Power. It also introduces brand new characters.

I'll be picking this up. As someone who has played all of the previous entries I agree with the story being convoluted and difficult to follow. With a video game this becomes an even bigger burden since you have only so much time to allocate before moving onto the next part of the game. I'll be watching a recap/summary of the story just before I play III simply because I do not have time to play through all the previous entries. The gummi ship also felt more of a chore than anything in the previous installment and it looks like they did not do much to make it more fun.

As a sidenote I am amazed at how the gaming community is reacting. If an 8 is considered a bad score (despite outwardly stating "great" beneath the number) then we simply just dont realize how good we have it.

Edit: As it stands III is the highest metacritic rated entry.

@CharlieSpot: Out of curiosity on the DLC mentioned - is it a direct continuation of your character or could it be considered a stand-alone DLC pack (akin to TLoU expansion)?
