@pcps4xb: I'm playing on console and haven't experienced disconnects except for when I try to squeeze out as much time as possible just before an announced server maintenance.

@Hunting_town: A game is reviewed against itself. X game should not receive a lesser score just because Y game received the same score.

Most triple A/big budget games nowadays tend to rate high. There's nothing wrong with that. It just speaks to the wealth of options available to this generation.

"Judging by the improvements listed this should be a 6 tops." Without having played the game how could you possibly assess a score judged only on improvements?

@doorselfin: @ChrisAnetkaC Adding to what Mr. Dolphinfin said, I have been playing solo for the majority of my experience as well (except for the times I played the new PVP modes). It's entirely possible to play this solo as long as you understand it's not a run and gun shooter. Sometimes you have to be patient.

@mikes133: I feel like you were already wearing the tin-foil hat before you clicked on the review. The "X paid for Y review" commentary is stale already with zero factual evidence.

The game is doing well in previews across the board not only by professional critics but by users. The most surprising are the user reviews on metacritic which typically rank low due to 0 scores from people who have not played the game or are basing their review solely on emotions.

The Ubisoft formula is successful because people still enjoy it. Ultimately every game can be reduced to "go here, do this and get rewarded." It's the presentation and the journey of that experience that dictates how well a game does and D2 will be succesful because it is a polished product that will continue to be supported.

D2 is frankly the standard that every game as a service model should use moving forward.

Game is great. Huge fan of Division I and I am having a blast in D2 so far. Conflicts are going to take some getting used to though. It's not your average run and gun and will require patience and teamwork. While the game tries its best to scale everything evenly it will still largely depend on loot.

Update: As expected the game is great with a ton of stuff to do aside from just the main quest. I was a huge fan of the first Division (even from launch). Hopefully when I step into the DZ in 2 it will be just as fun as part 1. I stayed in the first zone mostly with a maxed out character.

@barcaazul: I've actually seen the opposite. The majority of previews I have read seem positive with the common theme being there isn't exactly anything ground breaking but the game does suck you in and you have a good time. I don't see this as being a candidate for struggling at all.

I left my copy downloading the patch and will be playing it in a bit. The beta was good and I had a blast in the first Division.

Eh. Not particulary necessary. I feel like this is an attention grab on Hi-Rez's part and poor form on calling out a business partner publicly. Something I noticed that is peculiar is Hi-Rez continuing to separate PC and Consoles in the e-sports scene but allowing full crossplay on regular play.

Sidenote I have hundreds of hours on Paladins on Steam and have note noticed an increase in player quality or times since they gave the go-ahead for crossplay and while there are certainly benefits of crossplay I am not sure companies are implementing it properly. For example, Rocket League has had cross-play for a bit and as a casual player that plays with friends who are casual we have been matched against gold ranked teams. My only request is that if companies want to raise the crossplay issue that they provide time and effort into it.
