resortman, what is the make and model of the sound system and projo?

Hi Jeeb, I use the 2 following links for my setup: http://www.projectorcentral.com/InFocus_Home-Screenplay_7200.htm

And for the sound system-->http://www.theperfectvision.com/newsletter/tpv56/dali_helicon_400.html

I swapped out the Dali sub for the B4+ from SVS-->http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_10_3/svs-b4-subwoofer-9-2003.html

crown 1500 watt rms for the sub, sherbourn 7/2100 for the speakers, had a MC-8 Lexicon, but preferred the Ref 50 for music.  Denon 3910 controls sacd, dvd-a, and dvd.

Damn Maingon, 92 foot screen?  :)  A cheaper alternative is a year old model...grab a z4, panny 900 or the like and test it out on a wall...if it looks good, then go with that until your screen money is ready:)

Creep, just joking man (lol) see the j/k? :) Remember, if YOU enjoy a piece, then it works for you:) I've heard some pretty bad speakers in my days...so don't always assume high price= great. Where is your setup?? Post away man! Audiophiles are here:)

My setup is posted above:) I'm leaning towards the G2 1080p hd-dvd player currently. (release still unknown, but hearing the 11th of Dec.) Its just tough having a denon 3910 sitting there collecting dust IF I buy one...although it is insane for music:)

maingon, not here yet either.  I'm hearing the same.  I'm debating a stand alone player vs the add-on (audio reasons)  having a hard time being I have a very good dvd player right now.

Maingon, thanks for the pics...maybe it'll settle some people down a bit...damn cheap named projectors!  I'm going on street pricing here:)  Z4 to your door is 1500 bucks...z5 about 1700...panny is right there with it!  The main difference is the situation you are in...needing more lumens vs contrast ratio, throw distance etc.  Both can be tweaked to give a fabulous picture...nice to have two "cruddy" named companies to choose from:)  Given the choice, I'd easily take a panny/sanyo FP over a 4K plasma/lcd and thats doubling the cost of the FP!  (assuming room permits for a FP)

 Quote from Sioux----->will also say that the sanyo z4 is a great choice.  There is also the z5.  Also look at the panasonic pt-ax100u or pt-ae900u.  They can all be had for around 2000 or less.  They are all great projectors.

I have freinds that have these and they are probably the best setups for the money.  As long as you can have a fairly dark room, these are better choices then any regular tv for the price.

When I bought my 65 mits crt tv a few years ago, I didn't even look at projectors thinking they were too expensive, until I went over to my friends house who had a sanyo plv-z2 at the time and was amazed!

Sioux, I agree...and that Z2 is STILL a great performer! (I have 2 buddies with them:)  I'm all caught up int he HD-DVD junk now...man, so far on AVS the comparisons I've read about/seen favor HDDVD bigtime!  G2 shipping soon...(hddvd player)

Maingon, you have the HDDVD add-on yet for 360?
