@EL_Bomberdor I doubt that's why slender got an 8.5. I haven't played Slender, but I have played loads of indie that I'd give a similar rating. But I wouldn't pay $60 for them. A game's score depends largely on how fun it is to play or how successful it is at doing what it set out to do. A game's price is--or should be--a function of both how fun it is play and how long you can play it for. I might think that Game A is a better than Game B, but not be willing to pay as much for Game A as I would for Game B because I can enjoy playing Game B for longer.
@uchihasilver @RS13 Well, I was using COD as an example. There are lots of reasons to hate COD. My point is that the recycled games we're getting are still fresher than nintendo's at least in terms of character and often in terms of gameplay.
Watch for it: nintendo fanboys will point out that "everyone recycles their games-- look at Call of Duty!"
Of course, they're right to some extent, but they overlook two important things. 1) Call of Duty isn't coming up on 30 years old. And (2) more importantly, everything they've said about nintendo is TRUE! Nintendo isn't suddenly a better company because others suck.
