(I apologize if this has been asked before, but I didn't find it x_x)
Okay.. So here's the thing. We have a PS3 and we got Guitar Hero III for it, and we love it (love it good). So we got Guitar hero II and a wireless guitar only to find out that the PS2 Guitar Controller doesn't work for the PS3 (duh...). Then I figured we could fix the problem by buying one of those spiffy PS2 Controller adapters that let you plug PS2 controllers into the PS3.
Well, it came today, and we tried it out.. and it's not working. A regular PS2 dual shock works... My boyfriend thinks the problem MIGHT be that our guitar is wireless... (And yes. We plugged the wireless dealie into the adapter..).
So my question is... is there anyway to get the wireless PS2 Guitar controller to work on the PS3 using the PS2 to PS3 adapter? Do we have to get a wired controller? Is it even worth trying?
Any (useful) input would be greatly appreciated :)

Nope, won't work. Even the wired guitar plugged into the adapter doesn't work for some reason.
