Well that's a definite possibility, since the quality of the database depends on the community, and if the community sucks the database is certain to suck as well. There is a potential though. If it turns out anything like Giant Bomb did, it will probably be awesome.

It just launched today, and it's pretty damn awesome. It's a lighthearted and community driven movie site similar to what Giant Bomb is for gaming with a lot of the same features (wiki, news, video features, reviews, podcasts). I've missed these guys so I was just sharing this good news in case other Gamespot users missed them as well. It's also an alternative to IMDB which flat out sucks. If the users start contributing like they did for Giant Bomb, it should blow IMDB's ugly and disorganized database out of the interwebs.
