Well as far as RTS's goes,try: Dawn of war: Dark Crusade, Medieval 2, Command and Conquer 3. Not sure if you are planning on purchasing everything we suggest :question: If so than i'll reccomend more games that i are a blast to LAN with.

Very Much so but BF2 is not Demanding what so ever. I've used it with low-end hardware, possibly worse than what Atomic has and it ran low- Medium without a hitch.

i am looking for a mesh beween gaming power and mobility my screen is 15.4in and i am looking to play games on it, casual gamin, and the games are relitively new, oldest game being BF2.
i kinda bought this 2 play games on airlanes and car trips and stuff. DON"T SAY I SHULDA GOT THE 8600 im kicking myself right now
so what settings should i be able to play this on and how does his card compare to the ATI X300-500 ( desktop card)

If you are referring to the X1300, than yes you can run games like Battlefield 2.. Im not aware of the clockspeeds of the 8400 but im sure you can pull off Medium settings with a reasonable resolution of: 1024 * 768!
i've asked questions about it before, tried the 1st one, but the 7th one just came out a few days ago. im wondering, if i ever did have problems could i just uninstall it with out it messing up my system files?
how likely is it that it could mess up my system files and cause me to have to reformat? (i've been thru a lot of hdd and hardware problems recently so i don't want to cause and file problems either, need a break from computer problems)
and do you get the aero transparent thing? or do you still have to buy the windows blinds theme for that?

I've actually used one of these transformation packs, and they do indeed swap some System files but i experienced no OS instability but problems may surge so i would not reccomend it.

What company? AMD has served me well since I had a K6 and my ATi Rade 3d PRO from way back when lol ~Ati~
