[QUOTE="Playerpat0"]Someone posted a comment by Blow. I'm sure months ago they said the Dev Kits were final. A dev kit should have the same hardware as the final otherwise there would be issues with performance on games. Do you have any link to the Dev Kits being much more powerful than the system (Except for the Xbox one's dev kits of course). I'm sure someone would have blabbed if they were different. So no one has one... Circle Jerk confirmed lol.So anyone have a link to exactly what these dev kits have in them? No? No one? So the entire thread is a circle jerk.

That is all I was trying to say...you have no idea what they where running on because they wont show you. They could simply place the "devkit" in the clear box labeled devkit. They could let the public/media know what the exact specs/ compostion of said kits were. Instead they show a fake empty box. Why is it so hard to believe they could lie? From a marketing perspective, it makes sense to lie/omit/decieve. If the Devkit was using the SOC, it would be in a small box, not a tower.

This is from May.... If nothing has changed on the end of Sony then seriously wtf? I could be wrong but why would this be the case? Especially to an in house dev. Anyone know what these current dev kits are sporting? Tried the googles?Obviously the kits were upgraded to have 8GB GDDR5 RAM. These games aren't made on PC then ported down.. Not unless its BF or some multiplat.[QUOTE="Playerpat0"]

The demo of Killzone: Shadow Fall shown during PlayStation 4's announcement only used 4GB of memory not the full 8GB GDDR5 RAM available to developers in the final hardware, Guerrilla has revealed.
According to the studio, 3072MB (3GB) of PS4's 8GB were dedicated to video resources powering the demo, with 1,536MB used for system resources. A further 128MB were shared between the two.
Of the 3GB reserved for video memory, 1,321 MB were used by non-streaming textures.
According to Guerrilla, the demo featured 8200 physics objects, 500 particle systems and real-time reflections - which include "a lot of Guerrilla secret sauce".
Guerrilla's decision to stick with 4GB suggest that the developer may not have been aware of Sony's decision to include 8GB in final retail hardware something Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray told VideoGamer.com had been kept secret from third-party developers until the console's announcement.
"We were told [PS4] was 4GB originally," Gilray told us, "and we first knew it had 8GBs when Mark said at the event's stage, 'And it has 8GB of memory.' We'd had kits at that point for a good while."

A simple google search would prevent all this self-ownage on your part lol. Dev kits aren't cheap, that's a fact.

I thought people knew these simple things.. Oh well.
You talk about dev kits like they are a certainty as to what is in them. I would love a link just know the facts. You seem to have all the answers so let us hear it. Got a link to exactly what is inside those dev kits? This would prove you right and blackface wrong and confirm it is the exact same unit as a retail PS4. I would love to get a breakdown. I don't know what the hell is in there. Just honestly asking.PS4 Dev Kit does nto equal PS4 retail. He talks about the size difference and there could be numerous differences to the two. If they were the same why does a PS4 devkit cost $2500.00?[QUOTE="Playerpat0"][QUOTE="Douevenlift_bro"]Every PS4 game has run on PS4 hardware. If you deny a devkit is PS4 hardware you just might be a flaming idiot.. Don't dissapoint me

When PS4 doesn't show it running on PS4 it is crap. How can anyone defend this shit? I was nowhere near any of the X1 PC threads because well it was lies. This is troubling news... downplay all you want but come on. Every PS4 game has run on PS4 hardware. If you deny a devkit is PS4 hardware you just might be a flaming idiot.. Remember Microsoft's e3 conference where they showcased BF4 singleplayer? They straight up had a backspace key in the upper right hand corner, lol. Pretty embarrassing.

Edit: Actually does anyone have a link to what exactly are in the current dev kits these games are running on? So much specualtion.
[QUOTE="Playerpat0"]Then why are so many of the playable demos that Sony had on display featuring large boxes with cables coming out of them? It could be a dev kit? It could be a PC? EA certainly showed off a PS4 version with controller on PC... HMM Keep following blindly. You also call me a lem... I lean towards them but honestly read my posts for the last few weeks. Next gen is a let down and I have decided for the first time ever to not get a console this gen. But hey only a Cow would be so defensive and put that sig up... MOO! Enjoy your downgraded everything when you get your PS4.[QUOTE="lx_theo"] Sony didn't assure it, an third party source said that was the case. I'm unsure if you even read any of this now, lol. My sig is just there to mess with lemmings. It'd take a lemming to be offended by it, lol. lx_theo
Edit: Hell. Look at my posts in this thread and others today... I call both companies liars and shit. Get off your high horse.
Well, if you want Sony to fail so much that you assume everything is wrong, then be my guest. But that's more accurate to doing something blindly, lol. So defensive on the fanboy thing. I can see you really are offended by the sig. The fact that you see a pro-Sony, pro-Nintendo, and anti-Microsoft sig and assume I'm a cow says a lot about you as well. Remember, its your actions of getting offended by the sig that implicate you, not me. Never said I want it to fail... Competition is the best thing for this industry. Even you should be able to understand that. I am not offended at all by your sig at all. I was simply pointing out the fact that your credibility is called into question with a sig like that and essentially everything you say should be thrown out. But hey keep making things up instead of having a discussion. MOOO ;)Then why are so many of the playable demos that Sony had on display featuring large boxes with cables coming out of them?
