@therealzorvan Because ultimately it was their kickstarter, and it was they who choose the incompetent, probably low-budget winterkewl to make the game.

Also if they admit that they beleive that winterkewl ran some kind of con, then they would be publicly slandering the company with no proof, as well as damaging themselves even more.

@lee1823 Starbound is a game that got over 1.5 million dollars I believe, and what was released was a game that could not have cost more than 400k to produce.

And Star Citizen is most definitely going to be a colossal failure. The creators of that buried themselves alive after promising so much.
