How did no one say/realize his helmet is such an obvious nod to Master Chief's in this video?

I started reading this article and you opened it with a long winded, obscure reference to Harry Potter as a metaphor.

I stopped reading right there. Get a real job you hack, you're not a journalist. You're the reason people don't take gaming journalism seriously.

@Ampharos64 @Pie_FOREVER Don't worry, they are, you have to remember we're using a site inhabitated primarily by children or man-children who have never had a relationship with anything other than their video game console :)

A good relationship is all about balance. A real feminist is someone who simply just wants fair treatment, not the crazy extremes that have bastardized the meaning with their ridiculous views, so I agree with you completely. I don't care who you are, what this guy did was ridiculous, and it wouldn't matter if the genders were reversed, both people have a right to be upset based on their actions.

@youre_a_sheep @Pie_FOREVER You know, not everyone has had a bad marriage or experience with women like you. If a woman is making all your decisions, that's not a relationship, you're a doormat who's bitter he didn't assert himself and is blaming all women as the problem.

When your lover is actually your best friend, what you're describing doesn't happen.

There's waaaay too little information here for anyone to jump to conclusions, so let's take an completely objective look, shall we?

We don't know the state of their now, "previous" relationship. Something could have been brewing beforehand, which led him to shell out $26k to do this, almost like a midlife crisis, and maybe that was the last straw for her. Maybe he's actually a jerk. Maybe she's actually crazy. Maybe, if you're engaged to someone, and living together, spending something like $26K on stuff without at least first running it by your mate (not asking permission necessarily and regardless of how big your income is) would have been a good idea. Like "Hey honey, I'm going to do so and so".

Sure, people say a real lover will support you in anything you do, but consider he converted the space where they'd be sleeping together into this arcade. Not...exactly conducive to a two person lifestyle. I mean hell, I think what he did was awesome, but I certainly wouldn't do this to my bedroom where I'd be with my lover/girlfriend/fiancee/wife.

He read a book and had an epiphany to do this...like...really? I don't know about you, but if I'm engaged to someone, it's probably because we see ourselves together forever and doing something so sudden and brash like this I would imagine would upset any right minded person, myself included. Like, if my wife to be did the same thing without first running it by me, you bet your ass I'd be upset, I'd probably also leave.

The whole point of living together and getting married is having a lifestyle you're going to share together comfortably and that works, for BOTH of you. Priorities change when you're an adult. Maybe some of you will learn that when you actually have a long term relationship with someone, let alone a relationship at all.

Then again, it's like I said before, we don't have enough information. Maybe she was crazy or overbearing, maybe he's an inconsiderate jerk and she was the nicest person in the world and this was the last straw. We'll never know.

@uncle5555 @Pie_FOREVER You're speaking from nothing saying "she was in it for the money". If she was in it for the money she wouldn't care because he has more money. You don't just leave someone because they build themselves something fun. You didn't even understand my post

It's just irresponsible financially first and foremost, as cool as it is, and regardless of your income. Priorities change when you're an adult. @G4mBi7 @Pie_FOREVER @JusticeCovert

There is a very big discussion thread over on giantbomb that I cannot post the link to because GameSpot does not allow hotlinking. But in it, it is directly discussing the very article i made reference to about her being open about the transitional period.
