looking forward to owning this title. ...need to see more E. Honda stuff. :)

Midway doesn't know how to make a balanced fighting game, so don't expect one. When one of the leading designers tells you in an interview that 'Stryker' was really strong at that point, but just laughes it off -- it's a BAD thing. Fighters are suppossed to at least 'attempt' to be balanced.
You know, I'd be happy if some (if not all) of the developers left Bungie for Wideload. The Halo Trilogy is done -- we got what we want. I'd rather see them create something outside of MS now, to see what else they can do. Take Rare for example... owned by Nintendo, they made awesome games...owned by MS, each game sucks more with each release. I can't help but imagine that Bungie staff members might do better with another company. Imagine them in charge of Metroid.... ;)
Um... Grim Bee... Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought the oh-so-popular Sony-style controller came from something called the SNES. Remember, the 4 face buttons with 2 shoulder buttons? Looks and feels awfully similar. I'm pretty sure the Analog stick was first seen on the N64. Rumble? Packaged with Star Fox 64 for the first time in the form of a 'Rumble Pak'. That's just three off the top of my head... but I'm sure there's more. And yes, I know you mentioned arcade 'firsts', but remember that Nintendo was IN the arcade business and had an arcade machine or two (remember the 10-in-1 machine?). I'm not saying they did all arcade things first, but I'd say they played a part there as well.
yeah, i was hoping for 4 player co-op split screen as well, but this will do. 4 player co-op is always worth it.
....I will always be skeptical about Rare releases as long as they are with MS. Just look at Rare's line-up since leaving Nintendo, and then before leaving Nintendo. Kameo, PDZ, Conker: Live & Reloaded, Viva Pinata, etc -- definately not as good as Blast Corps, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo Kazooie, etc. I think the only thing that improved when Rare left Nintendo is that Donkey Kong sounds more like a monkey now, as opposed to a drowning monkey. :)
Why, they say? How about, because it plays WAY better than any WWE licensed wrestling game. How about, because instead of button-mashing your way to victory, they test you with on-the-spot timing, and give you more options in your arsenal. How about, because despite not having 3D graphics and licensed names, that you can still have 'dream' matches between countless stars, since most of them get recognized through the Fire Pro series. Are you that shallow that because the guy's name is JJJ, and not HHH, that you won't play it? Even if all of his moves are the same, and he looks like HHH? That just tells me how much gameplay really means to you....
can't wait to see the reactions and more-than-likely positive reviews for the DW: Gundam game, from the same people that shun every other version of DW/SW because they are 'all the same'. And they won't go play the earlier ones after seeing how cool the Gundam one is either -- they'll just believe it's that cool because they added 'more' to it since it's Gundam. No, actually, the gameplay is just like every other DW/SW game, but looks sci-fi.....same exact gameplay and elements, with different characters and moves. it just seems so closed-minded for people to be waiting for this version, when it's nothing different compared to the originals.
